We were looking to get a new deck built as our current one, the original 20 year old deck that came with the house was looking pretty bad, it was dry and just needed to go. It was shaky, started to pull away in parts and we were afraid to be on it. So after deciding to get a new one, we had no reservations about using Ben Hill Renovations. They were our first choice because of the long reputation of business and quaility plus Ben Hill re roofed Ken's parents house years ago and they were happy with the results. We initially had an idea of what we wanted. We knew we wanted composite type boards, because we wanted a long lasting deck and planed never to have to replace in our lifetime. Ben Hill set up an appointment to look over the existing structure and to talk about what we wanted. We decided on a covered deck, so they would extend the roofline out and we also wanted the modern looking cable railings. After we decided on a design and waited for our start date we were doing some routine cleaning around our 3 huge windows that look out to the deck. The wood around the windows were rotten. Well, lucky us because Ben Hill does windows too! We went big with the window design and the results are amazing! Jeff McIntyre was the foreman, coordinator over the entire process and was able to schedule everything. The construction crew came on time in the mornings, I believe the lead guy over that construction was Mike. He helped build and clean up at the end of the day. Next to come were the painters. Rolondo and his paint crew did a great job building back up the stucco on the outside and to match the paint on my house. The stucco frame they built around the outside large format window they installed matched the other windows. I wasn't expecting that and I'm pleasantly surprised. We wanted under decking above the lower deck and Albert and his crew came and installed that plus framed it out so my electrician could install an overhead fan and lights. Overall I'm pleased and blown away by the results. You will just have to see pictures. The 3 huge windows that were removed is now replaced with a wall of glass windows with a wide glass door that opens up onto our new deck. Thank you Ben Hill Renovations.
