Steve, the tech, noticed during backflow of our softener and filter that our basement drain was draining slowly, so he suggested we get it snaked, which revealed the pipe was broken. When we tore it up, we found an ancient, completely clogged asphalt pipe. If we'd had a flood, we'd have been in deep @?#*. Steve did us a proper favor.
