Just finished up hard water testing for a couple in East Aurora. They've been noticing white residue on fixtures and glassware lately. Used our digital tester to check multiple faucets throughout the home - readings showed extremely high hardness levels between 17-18 grains per gallon! That's definitely in the problem zone. Also noticed significant calcium buildup on shower heads and faucet aerators. Did additional testing for iron (0.5ppm) and pH (7.3 - normal range). Collected samples for more detailed lab analysis of other potential contaminants. Cleaned several aerators on the spot to demonstrate the difference proper treatment would make. Discussed various water softening options that would work best for their 4-person household and well water system. They seemed most interested in the salt-free conditioner system since they're on sodium-restricted diets. Will follow up next week after lab results come in to finalize recommendations!
