Outdoor TXV is not allowing proper refrigerant flow. Causing low, dedicated suction pressure. Intern, resulting in the compressor making extra noise. Replacement part will be ordered and our office will schedule a return visit for installation.

Brian explained that his air is blowing but it's not warm. Alex was able to determine there was a splicing issue with his wiring. Once Alex diagnosed Brian's issue, he was able to fix the wiring and get his system working gain.

Warranty less than one year No low-voltage reaching outdoor condensing unit on the orange reversing valve wire. Found a splice inside the brick where all of the wires were not spliced only five of the eight were spliced/connected. Used Brown low-voltage wire from the air handler to the outdoor unit for the reversing valve and system is now operating properly. Not able to complete splice inside the wall without removing brick or sheet rock from the other side. Both the green and orange wires are not complete between the outdoor and attic space. Tested system in both heating and cooling system is operating properly at this time.

Upon arrival, found the blower fan not operating for the upstairs spare room air handler. This caused the system to start to ice up in cool mode. Found 24 V at the board for call to fan. Found 120 V at the relay and at the blower fan. Blower fan still inop. Between the relay and the blower fan found no voltage. While I was working and testing out the control board, I had not moved any wires but the blower fan started working out of nowhere. It seems the control board at the air handler has an intermittent issue with the timer delay on the relay for the fan. The control board at the air handler will need to be replaced. Provided customer with estimate to replace the control board at the air handler. Due to the age and state of the system, replacement options are recommended at this time.

A lizard was stuck behind defrost control board. This caused board to short to ground. Replacement board has been ordered. This system has a 2011 manufacturers date and is no longer under warranty. Made a second trip to replace control board and had no low-voltage on outdoor unit tested and found broken line on thermostat wire. Repaired wire. Tested unit and it is heating and cooling with no other issues found at this time.
