Customer was looking for a mini split just in the kitchen for less then 4500.00 let him know that we could not get that low on ac or mini split Offered emerald air for the whole house he wasn’t interested very nice but had a guy in grass valley tell him he could do a heat pump system for 4500.00
BOILER REPAIRS: I installed I installed the new components into the boiler system to get it functioning without having a fault code. Once objectives were completed I pumped the glycol back into the system that had to be removed to drop pressure off the system. I turned the unit on and had cycled it between heating and hot water to verify operation. Everything is back up and running as well as no water leaks. ITEMS REPLACED: - starting flue shroud - seals for the flue shroud - high temperature flue limit switch - return temperature sensor - water pressure sensor - daughter circuit board, controls the sensors - repaired a minor leak - installed a debris guard over daughter board
WARRANTY The issue this time around was that the boiler cut out again as well as our heat pump system. What I found with the heat pump is that where it is located and after the weather we had gone on this previous Sunday two days ago, the melt off went great down and funneled into the heat pump outside. All this water that went into the unit wound up freezing up And cause the unit to stop working. As a temporary fix I had to remove a bunch of the ice around the unit especially around the fan blades so that we can get it back on and running. There is a little bit of ice at the bottom but I did get the unit running prior to leaving and was making sure the house was getting back up to proper temperatures. To rectify this problem we need to either pull the air conditioner away from the wall or some sort of water diverter needs to be installed up on the roof. WARRANTY CALL: The claim was that the master bedroom was not heating up as well as it once did or at all. What I determined was that the one zone valve control that controlled the master bedroom was set for zone six. When I made the call for heat on that zone I heard some chattering from that zone valve controller. Being that we freed up one zone by adding our heat pump air handler system which was on the other zone valve controller, I had to rewire the system and that specific zone to work off of the other zone valve controller. This master bedroom zone valve is now on the other zone valve controller and is still on the number six zone valve. I ran through the system thoroughly after rewiring the controllers and made sure that everything was functioning as it should as far as the air handler that feeds the master bedroom was turning on any heating as well as the in floor heat provided from the boiler. After thoroughly checking everything and checking the operation I also checked the

This estimate is to perform service work on the boiler. I will be quoting the replacement of a air vent, cleaning of the air separator, and to flush the system and fill with the proper mixture of glycol (heat transfer fluid). By having glycol in the system it will have better heat transfer than water, it will clean the build up on the piping, and prevent freezing of the lines. Per customers request I will perform this service work at the same time as the install.

Came out today to inspect the fireplace above the garage due to another company coming out and saying it was unsafe. What I found is that it is a freestanding propane stove, it is completely filled with such, the glass door is broken and has about a 1/8’’ gap Between the panes of glass. I don’t believe the unit was ever converted from natural gas to propane but I can’t tell for sure without getting into the unit which I won’t do due to the broken glass window. The venting is a single wall 4 inch pipe meeting a B vent elbow sticking out of the wall. Being that it goes through an interior wall I can’t verify the clearance to combustible but I don’t think it is meeting the certain clearances. I talk to her on the phone and gave her a couple of options of optional heat sources but she doesn’t want to Spend that amount of money on such a small apartment. She is probably just going to get an electric fireplace to put up there or continue to use the space heaters. I am formed
I am going to put together an estimate on replacing an air handler that is currently not working at the moment and also reconfiguring his boiler controls because they are not done properly. Also she wants an estimate as far as service goes for me to introduce glycol into the system because they do not live here full-time. I informed him that this is going to take me a couple days to work up and I will email it over to him once I have completed.
I installed the proper circuitboard into the condenser outside. I tested the system and cycled through heating and cooling and Randy each setting for a little bit to make sure that it wasn’t doing what he had said it was with the previous circuitboard. He did say that it would happen now on colder temperatures so we will have to see how it works for next winter. I’m going to email Tom my contact information about the referral for his neighbor.
Give up dear to install the new condenser electrical control board and after replacing the board found that the unit was not operating properly. I got on the phone with technical support which took a while to get through, but once I did re-started running through quite a bit of diagnostics to figure out what was going on. We came to realize that it is not the right control board for this unit. I called western to give them hell on ordering the wrong board. I spoke to Tony and verified that he’s ordering The right board as well as I got the part number that is needed so that this does not happen again when we receive the new board. It is going to take 5 to 7 days Tony said, it is coming from Georgia. Thomas up here his understanding and said to just let him know when it comes in and he will meet us up here again
Warranty Came up to troubleshoot the problem with the hyper heat Mitsubishi mini split. After being on the phone with technical support for a while and testing multiple functions with the unit they came to the realization that the control board in the outdoor unit has it issue with the software. They are going to have us get a hold of Western Nevada supply for getting the new control board to bring up here. I cycled the unit on cooling as well as heating end it was satisfying the temperatures rather quickly. The refrigerant charge is good so that is not the issue it must be the circuitboard.
