AC Diagnostic Upon arrival noticed that the blower motor and compressor were running but nothing on the OD fan motor, Tested dual run capacitor and found that it failed. Also found contactor pitted with burnt contacts, checked amp draws on blower motor 7.1 and tested blower capacitor R:10 A:9.3. Checked static pressure R.35" S.35" w.c. Also checked filter and it was previously changed. Replaced failed 55/5 dual run capacitor and also replaced failing 2 pole contactor and 10 mfd capacitor. Tested system and everything turned on normally, checked amp draws on compressor 20.1 and OD fan 1.4. Due to age of system there are no guarantees that any other parts or components might fail, going to follow back up in a few weeks to do complete maintenance on Air Conditioner! Any questions please call Brandon 602-736-3077

Replaced failed 40/5 mfd capacitor and replaced failing 2 pole contactor. Everything turned on normally, I checked amp draws on OD fan 1.4 and compressor was at 19.3 which is higher than normal. Checked filter and it was recently replaced checked static pressure S .35" R .25" w.c.. Checked blower motor capacitor R: 15 A: 14.8 and blower amps were 5.6. Going to follow back up in a few weeks to do complete maintenance on equipment. Also while I’m there they would like qoute on new Water Heater!

WARRANTY CALL: The claim is that the unit will cool the house as it should but it will take a while to get down to temperature. He’s also saying that once the AC satisfies the temperature it kicks back on pretty quickly. After going through the install and looking at his air conditioner as well as all the other ducts and vents throughout the home I am finding that The thermostat is working correctly it is just the heat gain working against them. He had the temperature turned down to 66 upon arrival and told me that it’s only a couple minutes once it gets down to 66 Before it turns back on. He had me install their prior thermostat and we tested that one as well. It was doing the same exact thing as our new Lennox thermostat. I had replaced the thermostat again and tested again to show them what was actually happening. I took them down ways in the process of what to do next to contain the cooling and heating that they are putting into the home. I’d say the next step would be to

Upon arrival homeowner informed me that it’s blowing air it’s just not cold I found that the systems TXV was stuck closed due to age of coil and TXV recommended replacing both because TXV because it is not mechanical and ID coil so no issues down the road. Replaced 20x24x1 return air filter and checked static pressure R.4" S.26" w.c. Checked amp draws on compressor 8.9 and Od fan .9. Checked capacitor mfd ratings 45/5. Checked amp draws on blower 5.6 and checked capacitor 15. We are going to be installing new coil Wednesday 7-1-20. Any questions please call Brandon 602-736-3077

Upon arrival homeowner informed me that the AC was running but just not keeping up with the temperature on thermostat and keeps getting hotter than cooler. Put my guages on to check refrigerant levels and found that compressor is doing high low by pass and that valves have failed internally. Due to being so late will see if there are any manufacture warranty on compressor. Will follow up with homeowner once I receive all correct information!

Upon Arrival found that the cold water shutoff valve was barely leaking by the stem. Tightened nut down a quarter turn and it stopped it. Tested it on and off multiples times and everything ok and no leaks. If it happens again we will need to bring new water shut off valve. Refer to pic in notes for valve.

Furnace Diagnostic: Upon Arrival found unit trying to start up but nothing turning on burners. Found failed hot surface igniter and a very dirty unit that was in need of service/maintenance. Replaced hot surface igniter and everything kicked on normally. Furnace Maintenance: Checked operation of thermostat. Changed 1(20x30x1) return air filter and cleaned grille. Checked for gas and co leaks. Cleaned furnace housing, blower and burner compartments. Pulled and polished flame sensor. Checked capacitor mfd ratings 7.5 Checked amp draws on inducer motor and found inducer motor over amping and on last leg Checked combustion 7.9% oxygen and 23 ppm Static .75" w.c. Found return is undersized and needs to be dealt with in future Informed homeowner that unit is definitely on last leg considering the age of equipment. Average Life is 15-20 years and his equipment is 30 years old. Also informed he needs a CO detector!

Upon arrival, homeowner informed me that right before he bought the house there was a big plumbing flood issue and that the restoration company took care of it before he bought it. Except for the air flow issues throughout home. I think that he thought that they fixed duct work during renovation 4 years ago. He informed me that there are hot/cold spots throughout the home and also lack of air flow! Started furnace in heat and checked static pressure on supply side .18" & return side reading .68" w.c. Which then Explained to him what static pressure means for comfort through out his home, efficiency and longevity of equipment. Found return was undersized at 16" duct but in OK condition. Went under home and found 4 ducts not even connected and insulation/liner was not even on just hanging. Found sagging ducts with dirt and debris. Refer to estimate!
