Not impressed

I have used your company for several years and have always had a great experience with Nick Rehman. I was told that Nick would be the only person to come to my house since I am a widowed disabled senior. This stranger shows up and tells me Nick has been promoted and I should have been told that. Then he tells me how good he is and that all Nick's customers have been given to him. The first thing he tells me is that I need to spend $237 for a "bulb" in my air scrubber as they only last a year or two. I was furious that I was going to pay that much money to replace a "bulb" so often. To make a long story short the "bulb" that appeared to be a tiny blue light was actually a whole ultraviolet unit. He also drained my water heater and then turned on the faucets to get the air out of the lines but never bothered to flush or tell me to flush toilets. I thought mine was going to explode the first time I used it. Things were great when I dealt with Denise and Nick, but apparently they are not going to be so great moving forward.

Mini Diagnostic- No cooling Are and homeowner states the living room unit is not cooling properly. Findings: Today I find the unit to be low on refrigerant as well as a few head units and remotes were still left in the heating mode. Cycle all head units to cooling and verify unit is low on refrigerant. Today I am going to recharge the unit due to extreme temperatures and we are going to reschedule a time for Red and Nick R to come out in September to do a proper leak test and recharge. If any charges are needed we will quote the homeowner at that time. Recharge unit with R410A refrigerant and get back to cooling. Refrigerant measurements are as follows: High side:333psi Low side:126PSI VSAT-42F LSAT-102F Suction temp-58F Liquid temp-98F Temperature drop across head units: Living room head: 79 to 55 Doll room head: 70 to 52F Master head: 71 to 49F Guest head 1: 70-52F Guest head 2: 70-50F Used a total of 8 pounds 8 ounces of R410A refrigerant. Upon arrival homeowner informed me that there AC is not keeping up with set temperature on thermostat, found blower running and OD fan but compressor was not. Tested capacitor and found the herm side was completely dead. Replaced failed 60/5 mfd capacitor and also installed 5-2-1 compressor saver to extend life of compressor and save money on energy cost every year. Checked amp draws on compressor 14.3 and OD fan 1.0, checked volts and resistance across contactor and they were within range. Going to follow back up in a few weeks to do complete maintenance on sytem.

AC Diagnostic Arrive and homeowner states that the AC unit is not cooling down the home. Notice air still blowing inside but no cooling. Findings: The outdoor dual run capacitor has failed. Customer says ac works well in the morning but by afternoon it runs constantly and does not put out cool air. They haven’t ran the ac in about 2 days Turned on condenser and confirmed it turned on with both fan motor and compressor running. Checked filter, customer says he has a 2 inch filter tray and because a single filter will slap up and down when it turns off and on that he puts two filters in the filter tray. I explained to him why this is bad and this issues it can cause with that system. The two filters were removed, the outer filter was slightly dirty. Checked refrigerant levels and they were fine Suction: 130 Liquid: 540 V sat: 44.2 After verifying refrigerant levels were good and removing the dual filters I took a temperature split and the unit was performing optimally Return temperature: 80 degrees Supply temperature: 61 degrees Explained to customer that this double filtering was cutting of airflow, this lack of airflow would cause the ac coil to freeze up which
