Installed a new Condenser fan motor for the police station back end unit. Started system. Compressor is struggling to turn over. Installed a start booster for the compressor. Restarted system. Compressor and motor have good run and start amps now. Finished checking over rest of system. Ok to send invoice to BSL per office. Invoice for fan motor has. Already been sent.
Diagnostic call. Found power going to unit, contactor pulled in , power across contactor but condenser fan motor and compressor were not running. Cooled down compressor and start winding closed. Restarted system. Condenser fan motor is going bad. It had stopped running and made the compressor go off on internal overload, office is ordering a new 1/6 hp 815 rpm, .9 amp condenser fan motor. Service Call: Found System substantially low on refrigerant, Preformed level 1 leak search & found refrigerant leak in liquid & vapor line Schrader valves. Replace both valves (warranty parts) & acid clean debris from condenser coil, re insulate txv sensing bulb at evaporator coil. Weighed in 5lbs R-410a refrigerant & Verified sub cooling. No further issues found, system cooling efficiently. INSTALLED 2015
Very old package HP. Found unit Very low in Freon due to a leak in evaporator coil. Gave the landlord options to repair or replace. Owner is supposed to call technician back to pay for todayâ€™s diagnostic fee.
Changed filters, checked thermostat, checked heating elements and blower amps, checked evap coil, checked/tightened electrical connections, checked drain pan and blew out drain line, checked capacitor, checked fan and compressor amps, checked pressures and reversing valve, cleaned condenser coils. 1 system: 2015
I installed a uv light kit in the air handler during the maintenance.
Service agreement clean and check on a 9 year old split heat pump system. Washed and waxed outdoor unit. Cleaned evaporator coil. Brushed out debris from electrical compartments. Flushed drain line and brushed out trap. Tightened all electrical connections. Checked refrigerant, mechanical and electrical operations. System capacitor reads within factory tolerances. Refrigerant charge is good , there is 9 degrees of sub cooling. Evaporator coil is in good condition it was recently changed. Compressor amp draw is good but the megaohm reading is 100. Outdoor unit is showing signs of age and Ware . System is operating properly at this time. Client had no concerns about his power bill.
