AC performance tuneup times two systems. Filters were good on arrival. Inspect blowers, evaporators in ductwork. Downstairs evaporator coil has a small fracture in it. I added 1 pound of our 410 today. I advise that they do not get any better. they only get worse. I am leaving an estimate for a replacement coil out of warranty. And also leaving estimates for, complete system replacement. Replaced run capacitor on condenser. Washed condenser coils. Advised Lawrence that the system has lost more than 15% of the charge next year than we will need to change out the evaporator coil at a bare minimum. System is 11 years old.
Completed with ac 1 a 2013 Lennox 3 ton heat pump horizontal in attic, unit cooling at this time of check up. Found evaporator coil very rusted with a lot of growth inside unit and compressor rattles at times. Gave customer the option to do all preventative repairs and option for replacement. Customer cannot make a decision untill talking with son
Completed with ac 2 on 2020 and upstairs 9 year old, both units cooling at this time of check up. Found upstairs capacitor showing wear along with fan motor and compressor start up amps are very high ans ducts are dusty. Giving the option to do all preventative repairs for 2.5 ton upstairs, condenser upgrade or complete. Customer will need to talk to husband
Completed with ac 1 on a 2005 trane with 2012 Goodman furnace horizontal in attic 5 ton. Found unit poorly operating due to components not being in good condition. Giving the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete unit upgrade.

Completed with ac 2 on 2012 carrier gas horizontal in attic,2 ton upstairs and 3.5 ton downstairs. Both cooling at this time of check up. Found downstairs start up amps from compressor very high with a lot of oil cooling out of evaporator coil and leaking blower motor. Giving the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs, or complete unit upgrade. Customer requested pricing for replacement. Customer needs to talk to home warranty before making a decision.

Completed with ac 3 on 2012,2023 and 2012 all gas horizontal in attic, found kitchen area unit freezing up from evaporator coil and compressor making load noise with very high start up amps, 2012 upstairs has very start up amps as well. America standard MB operating great at this point. Giving the option to do all preventative, minimum repairs, ac combo upgrade for downstairs or complete upgrade. Customer wanted to get unit replace but cannot make a decision at this time. Will follow up next week.

Preformed the 2 system maintenance. Found the upstairs unit to be within specifications. The downstairs system is out of specifications for alot of components. It's also missing 1/5 of the r22 freon. Due to all this and with the attic being mostly insulated I highly recommend upgrading the unit to a 95 percent furnace with an erv upgrade to get the upmost efficiency. Doing this will create a drastic difference in electrical usage for the house as well as increase the life span of systems.
