1. Visually inspected condenser coil for debris/ dirty. 2. Inspected condenser fan motor. 3. Inspected condenser fan blades. 4. Inspected/ cleaned wiring connections. 5. Tested compressor/ condenser fan motor capacitor. 6. Checked compressor amp draw. 7. Checked condenser fan motor amp draw. 8. Inspected / replaced return filter. 9. Inspected return plenum for debris/ dirty. 10. Inspected evaporator coil. 11. Inspected blower motor/ blower wheel. Very dirty 12. Checked blower amp draw. 13. Measured temperature differential from supply to return. 20 degrees measured. 14. Inspected drain lines and treated to prevent blockages 15. Washed condenser unit to promote heat exchange Downstairs unit is short cycling and furnace is covered in moisture. Upon checking pressures it appears that there is a txv restriction that has caused damage to the compressor. Informed customer of the state of the unit and that most of the cooling was coming from the upstairs unit. Customer said he wanted to run
Homeowner stated that the D/S unit is not cooling,,,, Started diagnostic at the condenser unit after setting the thermostat to cool,,, noticed the compressor not running, tested capacitor ( 70 mfd run capacitor),, tested ok,, checked for proper voltage coming in to the unit tested ok ,, noticed the compressor was humming, tried a hard start kit hopping this was going to help it start working, had same results, at this point thermal overload sensor inside the compressor got open because was overheating, cooled down with water, tried again,,, had same issue,,, COMPRESSOR IS LOCKED UP AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. Also condenser unit is very dirty,,, needs to be washed a soon as possible because it’s not breathing properly,, this causes severe damages to the unit.,,,,will be washed after repairs.
Performed 2 system heating maintenance on 2015 Daikin Furnaces. Checked amps, capacitors, filters, cleanliness, electrical, blowers, flame sensors, pressure switches, and safeties. U/s is working to manufacture specifications. D/s is in rough shape and tripped on open pressure switch. Inspected flue and discovered that it hardly breathing. Both blowers and caked in dust. D/s electrical is burning. System has an external filter that is full of growth cycling growth into the house. Provided options for repairs, upgrades, and a system replacement for d/s.
Cooling HVAC system maintenance Performed service check, found no issues with system, unable to catch noise from outdoor unit. Asked client to video if possible next time. Suggested cloth filters while remodeling is being done or check main filters at units periodically to make sure we don’t have any air restrictions in system. 20x25x4 and 16x25x4
