Technician performed maintenance on a Lennox air conditioner.
Removed from left evaporative coil and installed new coil in unit... Brazed and pressurized to check for leaks, then vacced and weighed in the required refrigerant according t the manufacturers data plate on the unit... Restarted the system in cooling and tested for proper operation with no issues at this time...
Found several possible leaks in the evaporative coil with an electronic leak detector... Discussed repair options as well as coil replacement, the customer chose to replace coil... Under the house found several locations where the flex duct had been ripped open and on flex that had fallen completely off the supply register box... With coupling collars, tape and panduit straps the ductwork was sealed, secured and atratched as nescessary under the home... All ductiing was checked for integrity of the closed systm with no other issues found... The unit was ran in cooling mode to ensure proper operation, all readings were good according to the manufactirers recommended ranges amd levels during operatin at 5is time... Indoor coil was shwimg signs of frosting up at the coils edges, the customer was made aware and any other issus or recommendations were discussed
On arrival the customer showed me a service ticket from another company, the ticket stated that the CU Board was faulty and that it needed replacing... Turning on the system to test i found the CU cutting out on high head pressure, further diagnostics found the tstat calling for cooling on the screen but at the air handler it was receiving and sending the call for heat... bypassed the tstat and called for cooling, the air handler and the system started in cooling, bad stat... Replaced with nw honeywell 8000 tstat for the existing 8000, rewired and started through the stat in cooling and heating to ensure proper operation with no issues found... All other tests taken to ensure properation were good within the manufacturers recommended range for operation at this time... As this equipment is still under warranty and classified as a new install with Alaskan another company can not come to tamper with our equipmant in any fashion or we will no longer be able to honor any labor warranties o
