Pleased with Service

Brandon Herd came and was able to find the problem on our donated ice machine...something simple and other than a service call/trip charge....NO PARTS NEEDED! He also discovered the problem with our commercial freezer. Ordered parts and so knowledgeable and was a great help. We will definitely use Ambient Edge in the future for our needs!

Input a replacement referral due to compressor blow out. Entire refrigerant lines are filled with acidic oils. Customer wants us to install a compressor provided by golden nugget. Quotes will be made, however due to compressor blow out, I advise not to install new compressor. New compressor will probably not last very long in system.

Arrived on site. Checked in with management. Obtained roof access. Inspected unit number 29. Unit number 29 is in the west wing. Found system panels opened up. Found compressor unplugged. Compressor terminals have blown out. Inspected condenser coils. Condenser coils have extreme amounts of oil residual. Condenser coils may be damaged, without proper diagnosis, condition of coils is unknown. Obtained all pictures of system including data tags, compressor, info, and pictures of condenser coils. Arrived for initial approved repairs to replace dual capacitor, contactor, and service disconnect formthentop floor Goodman RTU. Customer had noticed the system lost cooling earlier this week and upon further inspection, found the system critically low on charge. Found the leak was caused by a section of outdoor orifice tubing rubbing together. Customer approved additional repairs for leak repair and R-22 retrofit refrigerant. Performed repair, pressure tested system, pulled deep vacuum, and charged system to factory charge with compressor renew oil installed. No discrepancies noted and work is completed. Customer would like follow up estimates to have RTU at this location swapped with the adjacent RTU at his property next door. Both units are second floor systems and will require a crane; may need to return to take pictures to build quote.

On arrival found system off. Turned on and checked operation. Determined refrigerant is low. 217/2sc, 49/68sh. Checked history and pressures were good at time of check up in June. Checked gauge ports to make sure they were not leaking. Informed customer of situation and quoted to fill system with alt refrigerant and discussed leak options. Recommended system replacement due to cost of repair.
