Very skilled and very knowledgeable! All the staff was very friendly and up front about pricing. I was quoted 2,500 and 6,500 for an AC repair with other companies and Bay Area Air came out and PROPERLY diagnosed my issue and resolved it for $300!!! If you are looking for a dependable, and honest company, this is the one. I had my repair done yesterday and you would think I am on their staff with how much praise I give these fine people. I swear I was so happy that I have been telling everyone about them. This company represents the way everyone in this business ought to handle themselves. I am so happy that I had someone recommend them to me.
Don was very knowledgeable.
Really great company no games no haggle great price
Don was the 3rd tech in 3 days as my AC would work for a few hours only to go down again...very frustrating and disappointing. When Don arrived he meticulously went throughout the system and found other issues that he readily fixed. So, not only is my AC consistently working 3 days later, it is performing better than it ever has!! Give that man a promotion!! THANKS Don!!!

Customer called due to system not operating found systems indoor blower motor module to be bad. Leaving two estimates for cost of replacing module if part covered under warranty or not covered under a warranty. System is not operating at this time.
Cleaned indoor and outdoor coils as well as drain line and treated drain pan with antimicrobial agent. Checked duct work under home and verified airflow in the home, both of which are good. Checked system in heating mode and found only one set is running. Jumped the two stages of heat together and found the thermostat is wired incorrectly or programmed incorrectly. Checked the system in cooling, found low suction pressure and one of the heat strips engaging. Disconnected thermostat wire from heat strips and they turned off. Checked for low voltage shorts in the thermostat wire and there are none. Unit need a new thermostat to prevent the heat strips from engaging while in cool mode, and some refrigerant. Did leak search and found a leak in the middle of the evaporator coil. Replaced. Thermostat and added one pound r410a. Unit is running fine.
O.d fan motor was not spinning found that cap 70 7.5was bad tested unit found no other issues.
Replaced indoor motor and fan board on parents house.
When I tucked 24v wire back into place the red 24v wire came out of wire nut. Leaving system with no signal
Found half of heat strip burnt out. This shorted back through 24 volt coil and caused system failure. 15 kw heater on a straight cool system. Was able to keep 5 kw working without issues for some heat. Neednto order a replacement heater. Two out of 3 banks are shorted out. Blew 24 volt fuse that saved transformer.
Found defrost control board bad. Not sending 24 volt to solenoid to bring on cooling. Bypassed defrost control board to energize solenoid. Need to order and replace defrost Control Board.

Found stat was set up for a Heat Pump on a Straight Cool system. NHP stat. I set stat up as Straight cool and tested heat strip. Has 5KW heat that is working properly. Note: System has a Bay Area sticker on it but has no history. This may be a error in service titan. Not sure After finding paperwork on system I found we had installed. Also that system had 10 KW Heater. Found blown Fuse Link. Replaced and tested system. System is now working properly. New Home Owners
Note: Took extra time because system was filthy from trees around it. Ran complete system tune up. Cleaned coils and drain. Cleaned off sap, leaves, branches and berries from unit . All system operations are within factory specifications.
