This is the 2nd time this technician has been to our house but different issues. He spent the time to determine what the issue was, and even though I am sure there was a significant amount of frustration he was professional at all times.

Cleaned indoor and outdoor coils as well as drain line and treated drain pan with antimicrobial agent. Checked all electrical connections and amp draws as well as refrigerant circuit pressures and temperatures. Unit is running and draining fine.
14 SEER CARRIER PACKAGED STRAIGHT COOL WITH ELECTRIC HEAT. NEW DUCTWORK UNDER HOUSE. 10 YEAR PART AND LABOR WARRANTY.
Found outdoor condenser motor rated at 1.7 pulling 4.8 amps. Ordered new motor
This is An Estimate to Install A New Carrier 14.5 seer Package Unit Heat Pump. This estimate includes all materials, labor, a new thermostat, and a 10 year parts and labor warranty.
MECHANICALLY CLEANED INDOOR AND OUTDOOR UNIT. FLUSHED DRAIN LINE AND PAN. VERIFIED ALL AMP DRAWS AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS. CHECKED ALL REFRIGERANT LEVELS AND TEMPERATURES. SYSTEM IS OPERATING NORMALLY AT THIS TIME.
This is an estimate for a coil pull and clean s well as a total system cleaning and check. This includes a pump down of refrigerant into condensing unit, cutting out the evaporator coil, cleaning it until like new, installing the coil, changing the filter drier, sweeping the system with nitrogen and pulling a deep vacuum to ensure there is no moisture or contaminants. Cleaning the condensing coil, drain line, drain pan, blower wheel and housing. Then checking the system functions to ensure there are no problems with any components or the systems charge.
Found that the compressor was running when I arrived but the suction line was warm. Measured refrigerant pressures and the system is nearly flat. Quoted system repair along with system replacement but highly recommend replacement due to age of system and R-22 refrigerant which is in the process of being phased out. We cannot guarantee that a leak search will yield repairable results. System is not able to cool at this time.
Determined thermostat wasnt sending signals due to corroded batteries. Spoke with customer who authorized changing it out for new. Tested system in heating and cooling, which are running fine. Customer wanted to sign up for silver contract. Customer will call and schedule tune up.
Found unit with no running blower. System needs a new one. Found questionable wiring for two capacitors wired in series for compressor and condensing fan. Tested both, one of which is completely bad. Took it the oversized one and put in a new appropriately sized capacitor. Ran system and found compressor running load amps to be 17.5/14.5. Condensing fan motor amperage is 1.5/1.9. Compressor will definitely fail while working hard on hot days. System ductwork is also undersized for the tonnage of the unit. Due to condition of the unit recommend replacement over repair. Leaving estimates for replacement and repairs.
Found the float switch tripped at time of arrival. Cleaned the drain line and drain pan and treated both with antimicrobial agents. System is cooling and draining fine. Bill has been emailed.
Upon arrival turned unit on at disconnect. System kicked on and ran in cooling mode. System is running normally at this time.
Cleaned indoor and outdoor coils as well as drain line and treated drain pan with antimicrobial agent. Checked all electrical connections and amp draws as well as refrigerant circuit pressures and temperatures. Found blower capacitor to be weak, customer authorized changing for new. Unit is running fine.
Replaced OD Fan motor. Put new 40/5 dual run cap. Unit is running at this time
Cleaned indoor, outdoor, and humidifier coils. Cleaned drain line from the humidifier through under the slab and cleaned the drain pan and treated all with an antimicrobial agent. Checked all electrical connections and amp draws as well as refrigerant circuit pressures and temperatures. Unit is running fine.
Reviewed dip switch settings and set switches to where they needed to be. Saw system operate correctly in heat and cool operations. Verified temp splits and heat rise.
