Service tech VERY knowledgable

The technician Came on time and got to work checking over my recently installed Carrier unit. There was a small odor intermittently from my air —“ conditioner “ that is an add on to my Carrier unit . It’s purpose is to prevent mold or allergens in my house. It makes peroxide naturally and I was not sure why it smelled like peroxide off and on. I was assured it’s no big deal to dial it back a bit and there will be no odor , I was told That the Add on to my Carrier unit will still remove allergens from of the air. Yea!! My daughter said my house smells really clean and fresh which was a bonus,,because a HEALTHY house was my goal. Joy The service call was a follow up, so no cost to me.

Reconfigured thermostat for proper dehumidification. Explained times of no load may have hard time keeping up if no no cooling demand. Tested system and brought humidity down 8% in approximately 15 minutes.

Cleaned Evaporator coil with one gallon of peroxide. Allowed peroxide to stay on Evaporator coil for 30 minutes while reapplying more peroxide every 5 minutes to make sure coil was fully saturated. Thoughly rinsed Evaporator coil with clean water. No charge per office

Did survey for system replacement. Quote includes cost for new lineset in attic. System void of all charge. Leak has gotten worse and will no longer hold any charge. Customer wants to go ahead and replace . Need to check for equipment availability and get install date .

Completed the maintenance inspection. The customer is having drainage issues time to time. I would recommend removing one of the drain lines from the common drain system to all better water flow. The systems are in poor condition.

Checked over the gas furnace and case coil. I didn't find any leaking gas. I did not see any biological grow on the coil. I didn't smell and foil odors coming from the coil but did do a in place cleaning of the coil. If the smell becomes a problem I would recommend having an Indoor Air Quality problem installed.
