Changed some settings on the thermostat in the main bedroom to allow dehumification.
Found the system low on r22 and a bad capacitor. The customer still wanted me to only add one pound of r22 which wasn't enough. More is needed.
Installed the Ecobee Smart thermostat pro and set up the dehumification and tested the systems operation.
Checked over the wiring on the customers provided thermostat to find that the ecobee3 lite series doesn't offer dehumification option. Only the non lite series offered dehumification.
Customer stated that system was only blowing hot air. Upon inspecting air handler, I noticed that the reversing valve wire going to the condenser was not being energized due to a break in the wire. I spliced the wires and now the reversing valve is being energized and the system is cooling. I made sure the system operates properly in heating and cooling. Unit is running at this time. Supply air temp in cooling: 51°F
Found a faulty safety switch at the air handler. Replaced the switch at no charge per David T. Flushed the drain line and tested the cooling operation.
Found 3 problems with system. 1 - The 40 amp breaker to condenser was tripped. 2- Reason was service disconnect was shorting against door because retainer screw was missing. 3- System was low on 410A by 2lbs. Leak searched and found no leak. Did find both caps missing

Checked on the plenum. Recommend replacing the bottom section. Also would need to make some adjustments to the three supply vents down stairs. Estimate includes the above work.
