Repair shorted out low voltage wire to overflow kill switch and repaired thermostat wire at outdoor unit. Changed out a week run capacitor for the blower motor and cleared the drain line and treated the drain pan with an antimicrobial agent. Replaced blown fuse caused by low voltage short. Outdoor capacitor is fine. Compressor is pulling High amps 10.6/15.4 and fan amp draw is 1.2/1.3, amp draw could possibly be reduced with cleaner coils. Recommend a checkup. System is running, cooling, and draining fine.
Stop a customer about her needs wants and concerns in regards to a new air conditioning system. Filled out job replacement sheet info. Built estimates and discuss them with the homeowner. Emailed estimates to customer. Customer will call in to speak with Accounting in regards to financing
Sound system not communicating with indoor and outdoor unit. Tested the DC voltage from the A and B terminals on the fan board and it was below 3 volts. This indicated a failing board. Replaced the board which is now showing 4.2 volts. Ran and tested system which is communicating with all components in the system. Fan board has a two-year part and labor warranty
Compressor is shorted to ground and causing breaker to trip. Spoke with homeowner and check for warranty. Compressor is covered under a part warranty and the customer would like us to order a new one and replace it ASAP. Part has been ordered and customer has been informed of the price. Customer will call to the office when she gets home to pay.
Fan is pulling .8/1.1 amps and there's nothing impeding the fan rotation of anything wrapped around the shaft. Customer informed me the sound stopped yesterday after he powered down the unit and turned it back on. Possibility something got caught in the fan blade and caused the sound but there's nothing wrong with the unit at this point. Unit is running fine.
All capacitor are in good shape. Compressor is pulling 7.6/18.3 amps and the fan is pulling .6/.7 amps. Both are in good shape. Condensing coil is nice and clean. Evaporator coil is a bit dirty but not hindering cooling. Could use a coil pull and clean to optimize performance and improve dehumidification. One coil pull and clean and good filter maintenance will ensure evaporator coil stays clean. Left estimate for this procedure. Refrigerant circuit is in good shape with the appropriate charge. Overall unit seems to be in very good shape. Unit is running, cooling, and draining fine.
Dugout drain line out of ground, built it up with some scrap PVC, clear drain line and drain pan and treated with Dawn dish soap. Unit is running and draining fine.
Inspected whole system found compressor amp draw at 8 / 16 amps with a condensing fan amp draw of .8/ 1.4. Check to see if drain line was clogged it is not and unit is draining fine. Refrigerant circuit pressures temperatures superheat and subcooling all look good. Compressor windings ohm readings are good. Unit is running Cooling and draining fine at this time. Left estimate for system did to age and condition. Option to add extended labor warranty on unit is recommended.
Cleaned both units indoor and outdoor coils.
Includes 10 years part and labor warranty. See details
