Helpful patient

Problem was my new “nest” thermostat settings. Steve was very helpful in figuring why my emergency heat kept coming on for no reason. Working with nest help line made adjustments which solved the problem. Thank Bay Area and Steve for great job.

Unit at a capacitor that was weak on the fan side causing the fan to overheat and possibly shut off not allowing heat exchange causing the compressor to shut off and not provide cooling for the customer. Customer has a 10-year part warranty from carrier. Change out the capacitor and tested the unit to ensure everything was working fine. Unit is working normally.

System operating normally. Charge looks good, superheat and subcool do as well. Compressor amp draw 10.1/16 and condensing fan pulling 1.3/1.5. System is draining well and the drain pan is clean. Replaced failed float switch. Unit is doing fine at this time.

System was freezing up based on what customer inform me of. Has not run AC in several days. Verified air flow was good in that there was no crushed duct work underneath trailer. System pressure was extremely low so charge system with 1 lb of R22. Inform customer that due to it being a package unit it probably has a leak but hoping that it's a slow leak. Unit is working fine.

Mini split low on charge. We were out here a couple of months ago for the same problem. Customer knows there's a leak in the coil. Will be replacing mini split themselves here soon and just need this to get by until installation possible. Charged 2 lbs r410a into system until suction pressure was 125. Unit is operating normally.
