Jeff, air conditioning technician, was thorough in checking both the outside air conditioning unit and the inside handler. I especially appreciated his willingness to take time to solve the problem I expressed about the feeling of stickyness in the house. The adjustment certainly makes the house feel more comfortable during the day. The only concern I have is that the thermostat shows about 4 degrees less than what it is set for. I hope the dehumidifier running does not increase my electric bill. Jeff offered to come back and adjust the humidity/air temperature if needed. This is going above and beyond excellent customer service.
Jeff was very professional and informative. He even informed me of a duct service that could be the cause of plaster dust and eliminating it, which I am going to have done. He also gave me estimates on replacement a/c system for next year. He solved my overflow of the condensation problem which was the reason for the service.
the 3rd tech I've had come out and everyone was exceptionable. I knew nothing about Bay Area so I took a chance since my experience with Acree was a nightmare. As you can imagine, I had some trepidations, but I was pleasantly surprised and greatly satisfied with my choice.

Service Specialist Glen Holsapple made quick work of the inoperative AC unit today. Within 2 minutes of arrival, he was up on a ladder and had the problem isolated. Like the pro he is, he restored the unit to working order and was wrapped up and gone in 30 minutes. He took the time to explain how to avoid this same issue in the future.
I purchased my Carrier Air conditioner and handler from Bay Area Heating and Air Conditioning in Spring 2014. The system has keep the house cool and most importantly, my electric bill has been reduced substantially. I always have my annual maintenance done by Bay Area Air. This year, David, the technician diagnosed a potential problem with a part and replaced it. He was exceptionally polite and thorough in his work. It was a pleasure to have him service the unit.
Cleaned and flushed drain line with shop vac. Added descale and drain tablets and viper pan spray. Restarted and tested cooling and drain line. Drain line is now draining outside consistently.
Upon arrival the condenser fan motor was not running. I found open capacitor. I replaced capacitor and it is cooling at this time. CAP455A
Upon arrival the float switch was tripped. I removed panel and flushed pan and drainline multiple times with dawn until the slim came out of drainline. Then I flushed drainline again then added dawn. It is cooling and draining at this time. I did not collect at time of call do to health of homeowner.
