The Technician quickly and accurately determined the system was functioning correctly and no repairs were required. He made pressure and temperature measurements as required and provided a detailed email with all the readings. Nothing to hide here ... just a a very good company. Thanks!

Operated cooling to detect air leakage Noted minor leakage on Rt side of supply duct connection front corner and back corner, added mastic to seal
Found the system frozen over. Thawed the system and checked the operation.
No cool. Tested and replaced dual capacitor. System operating at this time. Carrier commercial unit, 1 yr parts, 5 ye compressor warranty. No labor warranty.
Tested and evaluated entire system. System is a 2 speed 4 ton Carrier with an FV series air handler. Checked refrigerant, running amps , static and temperature drop on indoor coil. The amount of water leaking from unit in video customer had look more like a water leak and not just condensation. System is working and not sweating profusely today. Other contractor replaced insulation in air handler about a week ago and may have already corrected problem. System thermostat is currently a NEST. This thermostat has no dehumidification control. ECOBEE will need to be installed is dehumidification control is needed. Cost for ECOBEE is $668. Some level of sweating will always occur as unit is installed in an unconditioned space in the attic. Recommendations to help minimize sweating . Do not set thermostat below 70 degrees. Use standard filters without pleats.
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE ON HEATPUMP SYSTEM. VERIFIED THAT SYSTEM IS NOT PULLING EXCESSIVE AMPS AND REFRIGERANT IS STILL INTACT.
Recall. System was running and cooling upon arrival. Biggest concern was that return air filter was severely blocked and causing an air restriction on air handler. This combined with low thermostat setting can cause evaporator to ice up at night and cause a loss of air conditioning u til coil thaws out during daytime. Recommend lighter filter for best airflow and setpoint of no lower than 72 degrees.
Upon arrival the upstairs was not keeping set point. We had installed a new compressor on July 13th. I checked subcooling and superheat. I found subcooling high. I adjusted refrigerant and it is now at target subcooling. Then I switched controller from downstairs to upstairs do to no LED display on stat. It is cooling at this time.
Found GENERAC component by condenser burned up and tripping breaker. By passed GENERAC and got system working.
System charge was noted as low Correction made & wrench tightened valve caps Noted TXV very slow to react (considered normal) Found drain pan full of white algaevacumed clear abap including having to access inlet side of evaporator Treated all with peroxide
Found float switch failed. Secondary filled and was overflowing. Secondary switch was not located deep enough to shut system down. Replaced bad float and adjusted Secondary pan and switch. System is tested and working properly now. Cleaned , flushed and treated drain. Customer ( Owner ) would rather office call to collect for repair.
Upon water was dripping from return plenum. I checked drainline and it was not clogged. It appeared that when float switches failed it saturated the airhandler insulation and finally soaked through plenum. I cut into plenum and vacuumed water from it. I vacuumed insulation inside airhandler. I flushed drainline multiple times to be sure it was draining. I poured water into pan rapidly to see if pan had a crack. It did not appear to be cracked all the water went down drainline. I rinsed all the popcorn texture off her car before putting away my hose.
Code E5 on thermostat. Bypass tstat, system operating. Recommend replacing thermostat. Installed Vive tstat and check operation. System operating and draining at this time.
Found the safety switch not working and the drain line backed up. Flushed, treated and tested the drain line. Gave an estimate for two new safety switches. Note: We are not responsible for any damages to the house.
Customer did not want to pay ot rate and get scheduled for tomorrow.
Found accumulator with a leak. Evaporator coil plugged up and system 18 years old. System needs replaced. Added R22this time. Can not add again do to phase out. Giving quotes on new system. If approved to replace and system doesn't last until that time we can put a spike in to get by until Installation.
