The technician Jeff was great however I did find that the service cost will be higher compared to another company.
Will definitely use And recommend Bay Area AC in the future. Wished I had gotten a reminder call the day before. Was not sure that he was coming since I made the appointment over a month ago.

Found system low on 410a refrigerant. Added 5 pounds to get unit working until install per Jim Horton.
System not off on float switch safety. Found and repaired open circuit in 24 volt circuit. Restarted and tested cooling. 10 year parts and labor.

Upon arrival the compressor leaked all the refrigerant out at terminals. I quoted new compressor and unit. We have a spike in unit available and is going to call back if she decides to purchase from us.
Per customer, loud noise from AHU Rn system in low to hi, no noises or unusual vibrations apparent Noted auxillary pan flexing from minute AHU vibration, customer was able to identify noise when I shook the aux pan Installed self adhesive foam to trapeze hangers under aux pan to eliminate any metal to metal vibration

Annual service contract tuneup and cleaning. I checked refrigerant pressures and static pressure. I checked all amp draws. I checked temp splits. I checked capacitor and contactor. I waxed outdoor unit and cleaned both coils with pressure washer. I flushed drainline multiple times. I did not find any issues at this time.
Upon arrival the homeowner started system. The airhandler was running but no condenser. I checked float switch and it was wet but not full. I cleaned the stem on float,it had film on it not allowing it to read properly. The condenser started. I checked pressures and I did jot find any problems. I had335 head pressure with 92 deg temp and a 12 subcooling and target was 12. I flushed drainline and it finally broke free and started draining. It is cooling and draining at this time.
Found system low on refrigerant. Leak searched system and found leak at indoor evaporator coil. Coil will need to be replaced. Cost is pending. Added two pounds of refrigerant to get system working.

Upon arrival system was low on refrigerant. I brought subcooling up to recommended 10 by adding 5 lbs R410A. It is cooling and should last until install tomorrow.
