This was a pre-scheduled AC check-up. I appreciated the reminder email and the text announcing the technicians name and arrival time. The technician was professional and completed the check-up. He gave me a summary at the end. No problems at all. I have used Bay Furnace for years and recommend their product and service.
Cycled system from tstat, all within spec Humidifier was disabled by homeowner. Checked filter, did not need changed Flushed condensation drain Inspected outdoor unit and capacitor, all within spec Washed outdoor unit.
Check thermostat change filter customer supply flush condensate drain check blower motor. Check disconnect two 30 amp fuse. Check capacitor 45+5+370 run cap . Cycled unit on to check compressor and fan working. Wash and clean condenser coil. Outdoor temperature is 58Â°. At time of dispatch unit is working.
Found outdoor fan motor failed.
No cooling. I found a blown 25 amp fuse. I checked the contactor,capacitor and connections and found no issues. I replaced the fuse and cycled with a 10 amp draw. Unit is operational at this time.

Found unit slightly low on refrigerant add 1 pound refrigerant check superheat at 17Â° per conditions cycle air conditioner due to age of system replacement should be considered instead of repairing.

Check contactor cycle unit on to check compressor and fan working . Wash and clean condenser coil. Outdoor temperature 59*. At times of dispatch unit is working.
I lit the pilot and cycled with normal operation.

Loose thermostat. I added a new wall anchor and secured it to the wall. The thermostat is secure.
