Arrived on site, clients hot water shut off valve for washing machine does not fully shut off, ball in valve does not close all the way. Discussed options to client, he is moving to CA tomorrow and won’t be returning, so he needs this to be fixed tonight. Gave options to replace just hot shut off valve, or to replace entire washer box. However getting parts for this proper repair tonight is an issue. After some further discussion, client wants hot shut off valve to be replaced with what I have on truck stock, as long as it is operational and safe. Cut small hole in drywall below to access water line, cut out valve and installed new shut off valve on hot water line. Old valves have the plastic escutcheon that fits into washer box, the escutcheon is attached to the valve and cannot be moved to new valve.
