It does pay to be the HVAC supervisor when the job has become quite complicated! Everything he diagnosed and fixed is what we have been telling boiler people for years but we are “ONLY” the customer. Doesn’t matter if our combined IQ is well over 300! Anyhow we really needed the top guy especially after yesterday when we found out that we were not told the truth about getting a part. We won’t hold this against Bell but we will be discussing this by phone with you. Back to Chris: top notch, knows his stuff, did us right! What else can we ask for? Customer needed a quarter turn on the gas connection to have the 90 on a horizontal.
Customer had large fireplace in the backyard the valve was not turning could not get key to work. upon inspection I cleared out dirt from the line to see if the valve would turn and the dirt compacting the opening was the only issue. The gas valve turns with ease and works properly.
Customer had gas line he wanted the grill hooked up to. Also water heater was set at a high temperature when we installed it so lowered temperature to 120* compliment membership for this trip waived trip fee.
Chris M built two estimates. One estimate is to replace expansion tank for side due to being on hot water side and not cold water side. Other estimate is for the in floor radiant heating to be piped correctly for temperatures settings. Emailed customer the estimates.
Chris M came out due to previous visits and still no answers. Performed diagnostic. Found that the auto feed and back flow are not giving pressure to the vessel. Found that the side arm water tank was not wired correctly. Found expansion tank on side arm is on the hot side. This should not be on the hot side. Manufacture instructions states to place on cold side to work effectively. Got permission to replace auto feed and back flow preventer. Replaced and set pressure to 15 psi. Rewired the side arm tank for priority. The aquastat for the side arm was not faulty. Once that was all completed. Tested system. System is heating and operational at this time according to manufacture specifications. 2 years parts and labor warranty on repairs made today. Charging customer add on pricing due to failure of repairing this issue the first two visits. Customer paid in full on cc.
Checked system, gave option. Declined Triangle tube storage tank failed sensor, triangle boiler went into 240 degree default, blew pressure relief, water fill valve was stuck, did not refill system.
