Installed a new 24 Seer 12K BTU Samsungini Split Heat Pump. The new system comes with a 10 year parts and 1 year labor warranty.
Upon arrival, I found the customers system not cooling properly due to a bad indoor motor module combo. The motor and module and control board were still under a manufacturerpart warranty only. I sent the customer an estimate for the labor to repair the equipment. The estimate was approved. After installing the new motor module and board I tested your system operations. Your system is operating/cooling properly at this time .
Today I arrived on site and performed a summer tune-up on the system. Here's a summary of the work completed: **Indoor Unit (Air Handler in Closet):** * Verified the unit services the whole home. * Checked the pleated 1" filter (20x20x1). Customer will provide their own filters. * Confirmed the indoor coil is clean. **Outdoor Unit (Heat Pump on Side of House):** * Confirmed the outdoor coil is clean. **Electrical Components:** * Tested and verified proper operation of the blower motor, condenser fan motor, compressor, compressor run capacitor, fan run capacitor, contactor, and electrical wiring. **System Components (Good Condition):** * Inspected and confirmed the blower wheel, primary drain pan, and electrical wires are secured. **System Performance:** * Measured a return air temperature of 77.0°F and a supply air temperature of 58.0°F. * Cleared the condensate drain line, cleaned out the primary pan, and tested the safety switch. **Additional Actions:** *

Upon arrival, I found the customers three communicating thermostats, not communicating with the outdoor air temp sensor. I also found one of the damper actuators not closing the damper all the way for the upstairs bedroom. I was able to adjust the damper actuator and get the damper working properly. I reprogrammed/reconnected all three thermostats to the outdoor sensor. I disassemble the outdoor sensor and found where the batteries snap in the metal prongs, holding the batteries in were extremely loose and the batteries were coming out. The sensor was also mounted on a door which got opened and closed periodically. After adjusting the battery prongs on the sensor and relocating the sensor. All three thermostats were reconnected and everything is on and working properly at this time. .
Today I arrived on site and performed a summer tune-up on the system. Indoor Unit (Air Handler - Attic): Checked the pleated 1" filter (20X20X1), recently changed this week. Verified the indoor coil is in good, clean condition. Outdoor Unit (Heat Pump - Back Yard): Cleaned the outdoor coil, which was already in good condition. Electrical Components: Tested and confirmed proper operation of the blower motor, condenser fan motor, compressor, blower run capacitor, compressor run capacitor, fan run capacitor, contactor, and electrical wiring. System Components: Inspected and confirmed the blower wheel, secondary drain pan, primary drain pan, and electrical wires are secured and in good working order. Measurements & Adjustments: Measured a return air temperature of 70.0°F and a supply air temperature of 53.0°F. Cleared the condensate drain line, cleaned out the primary pan, and tested the safety switch. Additional Actions: Dusted the return grills and thermostat. Restored power to the
Diagnostic, found outdoor unit to not be turning on and the dual run capacitor swollen and no longer working. I replaced the failed dual run capacitor with a new turbo 200 capacitor and the system turned on checked component amperage’s and everything is reading within manufacture specifications . The system is now cooling properly.
