08/25/2025- I arrived on site to find the unit completely frozen up due to a faulty blower motor. Since Carrier had the replacement motor in stock I picked it up and replaced the faulty motor today. After installation of the new motor I tested the unit and confirmed that the system is working properly. I have verified that the unit is functioning and cooling properly at the time of service.
Upon arrival, I found the customers drain line to be plugged, causing it to overflow out the primary pan. I flushed the drain line and sent the customer an estimate for a primary safety float switch. The estimate was approved. After installing the safety float switch I tested the switch to make sure it worked properly. It did. Your system is operating/draining properly at this time .
Upon arrival, I found the customers gas package unit not cooling properly due to a faulty dual run capacitor. I sent an estimate to replace the capacitor. The estimate was approved. After installing the new capacitor, I tested the system operations and did a temperature split. The customer had a 20° temp split between the return air and supply air and the temperature was still dropping. Your system is operating properly at this time. The customer is interested in having Justin out to give him options on removing the gas package unit and adding a couple mini splits and a smaller heat pump package unit. Customer said that he minisplit in the shed was not working. Found that the fuses in the disconnect had blown and that the generator box for the unit had failed. Bypassed the generator box and replaced disconnect with a non-fused disconnect since it has a circuit breaker. Was also told that the unit serving the back side of the house was not cooling. Found it to just be set to heat at the thermostat. Set thermostat back to cool and the area dropped down 2 degrees in about 15 minutes. Thank you for your business.
