Performed a furnace start up. Checked over the furnace installation. Cycled the furnace. Set the gas pressure and checked the fan speed. Performed a furnace combustion test. The furnace is running normally at this time.
Went to 3622 and completed a start up on their new furnace Complete
Was here for a furnace cleaning. Checked the heat exchanger for cracks. Found cracks in the right middle burner tube and the far left tube. There is also some water damage on the bottom of the furnace. Recommended getting a second opinnion. My supervisor is coming at 11:30am. The furnace is 18 years old. The average life of a furnace is 15 years. This furnace is unsafe to operate. Shut the gas and the power off to the furnace. Was unable to complete the furnace cleaning due to the condition of the unit. Will hold off on billing the customer.
Performed furnace start up; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, sniffed the gas line for possible leaks, cycled the system on and checked gas pressures, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream, and lastly replaced the 16x25x1 filter . This system is currently operating normal and heating st 54 degrees at this time. Job complete
