Originally called for a furnace and gas fireplace safety check. Gas fireplace check wasn't on technicians order form but cleaned the fireplace glass for me atleast. Technician was very professional and awesome to work with. The technicians service was amazing which made up for the little order mix up.

Found low air flow from master bedroom and bath. Found that the dampers are located at the termination box at register. Bedroom and master walk-in are open. Checked furnace and found filter clogged. Removed and tested temp rise. 39 is what was found. Replaced with new filter and lowered fan speed to med. re took temp rise. Rise is now 46. This increases the temp at the registers. I measured 95 at the register in master bedroom. This should help with the issue. Recommend customer to run fan continuously. Customer will call if issue continues. Job complete.

Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, ok. Checked, removed , and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Cleared drain line. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Preformed combustion test and found normal levels in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. Installed new electronic air cleaner. Cycled and working normal. Instructed customer on use of electronic filter. System operating normal at this time. Ac clean and tune in spring. Job complete. Completed gas furnace replacement. Disconnected and removed the old furnace and set the new one on blocks in its place. Reconnected the gas, electric, pvc vent pipes and the ductwork. Installed a new T4 thermostat and connected it to the furnace. Run tested the furnace but our office will contact you to schedule a technician start up at your convenience. Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Found rust and corrosion in all chambers. Deep etching found in one chamber. This is where heat exchanger will crack at some point. Checked, removed, and cleaned burners. Ok. Checked and cleaned igniter. Ok. Tightened and checked electrical connections and clamps. Found some weak clamps on the condensate lines. Found ventor motor bearings are worn. This is causing excess heat and noise. Preformed combustion test and found normal levels in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. This unit is past that threshold and is in worn condition. Due to age, condition, and cost of repair, second opinion is recommended. Future failure is expected. Job complete.

Found burners are very corroded and rusted. Cleaned as best as I could. Igniter tested ok, but is showing signs of getting worn. Checked gas pressures. Pressures were a little low, but combustion test showed normal levels found in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. Found blower motor bearings are very worn and seizing. This will cause failure in the future. Ventor motor bearings are worn causing vibrations and noise. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. This system is past that and is showing signs of major damage. Due to age, condition, and cost of repair, second opinion is recommended. System operating normal at this time. Performed furnace clean and tune. I replaced the filters, wire nutted some bare wires. I cleaned the pilot assembly and the gas orfice. Wiped dust out of the unit. I inspected the heat exchanger, it’s very rusty and has a possible crack. I cycled the furnace, it’s heating at this time. The furnace is 38 years old and in poor shape. The office will call to schedule the service manager to take another look at the heat exchanger.

System is operating normal at this time, but due to age and condition, future failure is expected. Job complete. Customer has issues with how drain line from both units drained into floor drain. Added two drain elbows and small amount of drain line to drop into drain directly instead of draining on top of cap. Cut in both elbows. .
Dispatched to do furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Furnace did not fire. Used jumper on main board terminal strip. Was able to jump cooling, and fan, was unable to jump heating. Tested voltage on all terminal lugs. Had correct voltage, main board has failed inspection. Furnace will not fire. Found igniter worn and cracking. Heat exchanger is very worn, rusted and corroded. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. This system is 17+ years old and worn. Unable to do cleaning unit repair is done. Recommend repairs of replacement. Quote for full replacement of furnace is $2600.00. Office to follow up on Monday. No cleaning cost collected at this time.
Performed preferred customer air conditioning cleaning. Found a worn compressor contactor and a worn capacitor. Presented options of repairing the unit or getting a second opinnion. The customer will hold off on making any repairs at this time. The air conditioner is 17 years old. The average life of an air conditioner is 14 years old. The air conditioner is running at this time.
Performed first year furnace cleaning; inspected the exhaust and intake PVC ensuring all connections were secured, removed and cleaned the burners along with the flame sensor, cycled sytem on and checked gas pressures and did make an adjustment, as well as performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. System is currently operating normal and heating at 51 degrees at this time. My only concern today is the amount of dust found on the blower wheel. Considering this system is only one year old we do have a substantial amount of dust of the blower wheel this could potentially result in a lesser efficient furnace. The 1in paper filter in place is not doing its job and it’s alowing dust to get passed it. I am including a quote for an electronic air cleaner to help bring these levels of dust down in the home.
