Kody has serviced my Geo Unit before. Very friendly, listens to concerns, very well respected. Thank You
Kody was very professional. Very impressed and did a great job. Thank you!
Delivered the filters. No answer at the door. I left the box of filters on the front porch.
29x32x1 air cleaner I performed a clean and tune up on the geo unit. Found the capacitor was weak, the contactor was building up resistance in its contacts and the drain was plugged. I replaced the capacitor, contactor and drain line. I cleaned the air coil with a foaming cleaner. I also installed an electrostatic filter and wired it to the geo unit. Cycle the unit, tested heat of extraction. Had 43650 btus which is good. All my reading were matching the manual specs. Geo unit is operating properly. 15gpm x 485x6=43650 btu
Geo unit has been locking out on high pressure and low air coil temp. The unit was running when I arrived. I checked out the system operation and performance. Found the air coil was dirty. I blew nitrogen through it but it’s still dirty. I recommend we come back with evaporator coil cleaner and spray the coil. Checked the pumps, they were working. Checked temperature rise, had 23 which is good. Loopfield has pressure. Checked water temperature drop. The incoming water is 30 and leaving water is 25. Those temperatures are low. The loopfield might be partially air locked per Jamie. Unit is heating at this time. We recommend coming back to clean the evaporator coil and perform maintenance on the furnace first. If the unit is still locking out after cleaning it we will have to flush out the loopfield.
Geo unit was locked out on low pressure/compressor fault. I checked the compressor protector. That indicated a problem with the starting circuit of the compressor. I tested the capacitor, it was open. Replaced the capacitor and cycled the unit, it’s cooling properly.
Replaced the blower motor and a belt on the system. Performed a cleaning and tune-up on the geothermal system.
