Main area not working very well tstat is calling for heat but not heating up enough. Radiators are cold so I purged the air out of them and increase the speed on the pump. This will increase flow before it was 2 gpm now its 4 gpm. Boiler system is operating properly at this time. Thanks Brad
Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Ch3cked heat exchanger, ok. Checked, removed, and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Both were ok. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Found clamp loose which was causing some minor leaking leading to some rust buildup on bottom of burner compartment. Found a few wires loose. Clamped and tightened those up. Checked and cleared drain lines. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Preformed combustion test. Exhaust numbers were normal. No CO found in airstream. Found some vibration from blower motor. Bearings sound ok. Blower wheel was dirty and this may cause some pitch vibration. Cleaned the wheel as best I could. Without higher end electronic air filtration, this dirt will return. System was very dirty. Recommend yearly maintenance to ensure best chance for longer efficient lifespan of unit. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.

Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Found heat exchanger very rusted and corroded with signs of cracks starting . Checked burners and ignition system, both are worn. Checked natural draft box and found some traces of CO in box. This system does not have a motor for exhaust and system is open to exhaust. This runs a high risk of CO leaking into the house with higher winds or blockage. No CO currently found in airstream. This system is very worn. High risk of failure. This system also lacks safeguards to ensure safe operation. Highly recommend second opinion for options. Job complete. Office to bill.
Customer stated that over the last three years, when he would run the heat and dishwasher, it would blow the breaker. Both the dishwasher and furnace are on the same 20amp breaker. This appears to be overloading the circuit. Called Joel and he quoted $175.00 plus tax to place them on different breakers.malso recommended a full electrical inspection of home to ensure no other issues are present. This service is 299.95 plus tax. I highly recommend this service due to current electrical issues. Safety check on furnace. Cycled. Heat exchanger is ok. Flame sensor and igniter are normal. Some rusting present due to crawl space location. No CO found in airstream. Normal levels of CO and XS air in exhaust. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Ac clean and tune. Checked indoor coil with refrigerant sniffer. Found indications of a leak on the coil. Checked and cleaned electrical compartment. Compressor and fan motor tested ok. Contactor is ok. Capacitor is original and worn. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Indoor coil temp was 41, subcooling was 10, super heat was 9, indoor split was 18. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. This system is 14 years old and worn. Cooling properly at this time. Job complete.
No cool. I opened up the electrical on the condenser. The contactor was pulled in. I tested high voltage on both sides, only had voltage on the incoming side. I pulled off one of the low voltage leads and reconnected it and everything ran like normal. I replaced the contactor that has pitted contacts and some mouse damage. The system is running normally.
The new air conditioner wasnâ€™t keeping up during the day. I cycled the air conditioner and checked the charge. Found the condenser coil was plugged with cottonwood. I washed the condenser coil. Checked the charge. It was low on charge. I added a pound of refrigerant to get the proper charge. I checked the split, it was at 19. Checked the air handler. Found the sensing bulb wasnâ€™t insulated. I insulted it. The air conditioner is cooling properly at this time. We need to come back to adjusted the lineset in the attic. Office will call to schedule that.
Customer stated that he had a no cool yesterday. TXV and service valves were frozen. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Found coil temp low at 23 degrees. Filter is ok and no obstruction on evaporator coil. Added 1 pound 4 oz of R410-A refrigerant. High side went up, but suction side remained under freezing. Checked indoor coil and found half of the coil was freezing up and the upper half was warm. This indicates that there is a problem with the TXV not opening. Office will follow up with pricing for new TXV. warranty will be checked. Maintenance will be done after cooling issue is resolved. No payment collected at this time. System not cooling correctly at this time. Job complete.
Performed AC clean and tune, replaced 20x25x1 filter, inspected condenser electrical compartment and tested components capacitor and contactor both showing signs of age, sprayed condenser with coil cleaner, cycled the system on and checked pressures and temps system is slightly overcharged cooling at 24 degrees. This system is currently operating but due to age and condition future failure is expected. I am including a quote for repair as well as a quote for a package cleaning so we can ensure safe furnace operations this fall. Job complete
No cool on the geo system. Found the geo was tripped on a water flow error. I reset the unit. The geo turned on. I checked the pumps, they were running. Checked the pressure drop and temperature rise across the heat exchanger. Had 13 psi drop and a eight degree temp rise. This is ok. Checked a temperature split of the ductwork. Itâ€™s at 25 which is good. I tested the freeze protection thermistor and found itâ€™s not reading correctly and caused the unit to not run. We will order a new thermistor. The unit is cooling at this time Also found the zone board isnâ€™t allowing the geo to operate in 2nd stage. I jumpered out the board so it will run in second stage. We will quote a price to replace the zone board as well. Office will call with price for the zone board and the thermistor. .
Performed air conditioner start up. Used vacuum pump. Released the charge. Cycled the air conditioner and set the fan speed. Added 2 pounds of refrigerant to the unit. The air conditioner is running normally at this time.
