Dan was our technician, and I can't say enough good things about him! He is so personable, and did a great job. He explained things well, and worked hard to make sure I knew what all my options were. He also went out of his way to have me talk to another member of the Black Haak company to see if replacing my furnace would be a better option. Dan understood when we couldn't afford that right now, and didn't push us to go beyond our budget. He was a really great guy!

Installed 3 receptacles, replaced 2 single pole switches.
Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. High limit passed the safety check. Heat rise was 42°. Unit is heating properly.
Performed a preferred customer furnace cleaning. Cleaned the burners and the flame sensor. Checked the furnace heat exchanger. Wiped down the inside of the furnace. Checked the electrical. Cycled the furnace and performed a furnace combustion test. The furnace is running at this time. Found that the inducer motor bearings are noisy. Recommend continuing to get cleanings to monitor the inducer motor.
Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning and replaced the gas valve. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. High limit passed the safety check. Heat rise was 50°. Gas valve was replaced under full warranty. Unit is heating properly.
Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Found some rusting found in all chambers. No visible cracks found with camera. Checked, removed, and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Burners were corroded and rusted. Cleaned as best as I could. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Cleared drain lines. Ventor motor bearings are ok at this time. Preformed combustion test. Normal levels of CO found in exhaust. High levels of XS air found. This is caused by blockage in secondarily heat exchanger. No CO found in airstream. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. System is worn, but operating normal at this time. Future failure is expected. Job complete.
Performed furnace clean and tune. I replaced the filter. Noticed the ignitor is worn and could fail. I recommend replacing the ignitor. I replaced the ignitor. The furnace is operating properly at this time. We will return in the spring to clean the air conditioner.
Fireplace was not working. Customer explained that fireplace would not light. Tried to light pilot several times with no luck. Cleaned flame sensor and tried to light again. After allowing pilot light to set for over 1 1/2 mins, pilot stayed lit. Cycled system and ran for over 15 mins with no issues. Diagnosis is that the flame sensor is getting weak. There is a possibility that the gas valve springs are also getting weak. Instructed the customer of her options. The customer is going to try to keep the flame sensor clean. If issues arise again, due to age and style of fireplace, Darboy stone and brick was recommended for replacement of parts or unit. Customer will call if they need any more help from us. A cleaning was not needed for this unit, diagnosis fee was charged instead. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Performed preferred customer air conditioning cleaning. Checked the indoor coil for leaks. Did not find any leaks in the indoor coil. Cleaned the condenser coil. Checked the electrical. Cycled the air conditioner and checked the refrigerant levels. The refrigerant levels are normal. No issues with the air conditioner at this time.
Found water in blower compartment of furnace. Customer indicated that water started leaking this past weekend. Cycled system and checked pressures and temps, ok. Removed filter. Filter was very dirty. Recommend ac clean and tune. Possible tipping coil to drain a little more. This situation not from furnace instal or operation. Office to schedule. System cooling at this time. Job complete.imstall crew noticed coil pitched incorrectly, recommended repairs at that time. Customer did not call back to schedule.
Performed preferred customer air conditioning cleaning. Checked over the air conditioner. Did not find any issues with the air conditioner at this time.
Returned to replace main board and to do AC start up. Added 1.5 pounds of refrigerant for a sub cool of 10 degrees with a 20 degree temp split. This system is currently operating normal at this time. Job complete
