1st year furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, ok. Checked, removed, and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Both ok. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Cleared drain lines. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Preformed combustion test and found normal levels in exhaust. No co found in airstream. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.

Came out to investigate a no heat. I cycled the furnace and the igniter would glow, but the burners wouldn’t ignite. It tried again and the burners stayed lit for a second before kicking out. On the third attempt, the furnace ran fine for five minutes. Error light flashed six times indicating a flame failure. I cleaned the flame rod and checked the igniter, everything was okay. 24v going to the gas valve. I tapped the gas valve with a screw driver to loosen up any stuck bearings. It seems like the gas valve is starting to become faulty. For safe keeping, I cleared the drain and pressure hoses and checked the pressure switches and venting, all was clear. They said they will monitor the situation between now and the cleaning.

Removed and cleaned and reinstalled flame sensor Removed and cleaned and reinstalled gas burners Checked gas outlet pressure Checked igniter Checked filter Inspected and tested inducer motor and blower motor Checked your condensate drain trap Repair recommended: Inducer motor is running on 1.1 amp. Motor max is 1.0 amp Issues of note: Burners and heat exchanger are excessively used and metal fatigue is showing Due to age of equipment repair is cost prohibitive and replacement is recommended Second opinion to be scheduled

Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Ok, checked, removed, and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Burners were rusted and corroded. Cleaned back to normal. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Found drain line clogged. Cleared. Found drain line is pitched slightly uphill. Recommend condensate pump to help drain line to not clog. Checked gas pressures. Preformed combustion test. Normal levels found in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. System operating normal at this time. Job complete. Replaced filter.

Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Found all chambers have rust and corrosion. Did not find cracks with the camera. Checked, removed, and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Both ok. Checked igniter. Tested ok, some signs of getting worn. Ok at this time. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Checked and tightened electrical connections and clamps. Cleared drain lines. Found ventor motor and blower motor bearings showing signs of getting worn. This is causing more noise in the system. Found ventor motor is leaking water. This is causing a lot of rusting in the burner compartment. Also found there is rust damage in blower compartment. Transition assembly is damaged and should be replaced along with ventor motor. Preformed combustion test. Found normal levels in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. System is showing signs of getting worn, but operating normal at this time. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. Future failure is ex
