Pleased with how quickly you came....and my dog is very happy he isn't hearing that noise any more! Service was professional and thorough. Mike checked the other detectors as well and took out the locking pin so that I can change the batteries myself if need be.
I would recommend Black Haak. They are very professional, helpful and through. Julienne, Evan Devin and Dan were all great! Thanks for the great work.
EVERYTHING WAS NEAT AND CLEAN, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING
We both agree that Julian is a great representative of Black Haak. He was polite, efficient, and very knowledgeable. We would be pleased to have him service our furnace & fireplace on a yearly basis.
Black-Haak installed my furnace and AC when I built my house. I've had them maintain and service my system ever since and have always been very pleased with their expert knowledge and quality of service. Their pricing is very fair and they are very honest up-front about the cost of things. I know I can rely on them and will be a lifetime customer! The technicians are VERY friendly and helpful, they are great to work with!
Bill and Tim did a great job doing some correction work on our installed HVAC system. They were professional, personable, conscientious.
My questions were answered and then some !
Performed the level 2 package cleaning. Furnace: Burners and ignition assembly are clean. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. Heat rise was 45°. The heat exchanger is rusted and worn. No cracks located at this time. Unit is currently operating properly and safe. Howeve, due to age and condition, we cannot gaurantee the future life expectancy. AC: No leaks detected. Electrical components tested good. Condenser coil is clean. Refrigerant charge was normal. Subcool was 10° with a 17° temp split. Unit is cooling properly.
First year furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, ok. Checked and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Both ok. Checked igniter, ok. Ventor motor normal. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Normal levels of XS air and CO in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Wired in new add a wire system. Removed old thermostat and installed new T4 thermostat. Cycled system. Found that thermostat was not able to call system. Checked zone board and found that board is not sending signal to furnace. Called install crew and asked about this issue. They stated that the board was an issue on install and they had to bypass board. Office to follow up about options. Home is currently not two zone, it’s only one zone. My job complete.
Performed the new furnace start up. No gas leaks detected. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. High limit passed the safety check. Heat rise was 30°. We will need to comeback for the downstairs thermostat. My add-a-wire was broken before taken out of the box. Office will schedule.
Ac not cooling only the fan is working. Checked furnace filter and thermostat. All good checked electrical on the ac and found a bad capacitor. Tested compressor and fan windings and all are good. Talked to customer about the options. They just put a offer in on a house and didn’t want to have the ac cleaned at this time but if they need it they will call. Ac operating properly at this time. Thanks Brad
Performed the level 2 package and fireplace cleaning. Furnace: Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. Heat rise was 44°. AC: No leaks detected. Electrical components tested good. Condenser coil is clean. Refrigerant pressures were normal. Subcool was 8° with a 17° temp split. Fireplace: I removed and cleaned the glass and cover screen. Cleaned off the logs, pilot assembly, and lower compartment. I also put in new embers and checked the fan bearings, they were good. All HVAC equipment is operating properly.
Ac clean and tune. Customer is stating that ac condenser froze up after tech was here last time to change filter and cleaned condenser. I cleaned electrical compartment. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Subcooling was a little high and indoor coil temp was at 30 degrees. Added 9 oz of R410-A refrigerant. Coil temp went to 38. Indoor split was 18. System operating normal at this time. Customer will watch system to see if added refrigerant made a difference in outdoor freeze up over nighttime hours. Office will follow up. Job complete.
Replacd Exterior Spot Lights.
Came out to check a notice on the thermostat. The message was a notification about the outdoor temp sensor. Customers don’t have one so I took it off in the thermostat settings. I also helped the customers connect their thermostat to the Honeywell app and set up their heating/cooling thermostat schedule. I recommended an AC cleaning in the near future. Everything is working at this time.
Furnace start up. Checked inlet and outlet gas pressures. Adjusted to maximize efficiency. Checked electrical connections. Checked for gas leaks, none found. Checked venting, ok. Temp rise normal. Changed filter. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
I came out to check the pressures. Customer said she noticed a banging noise downstairs and that there were water stains in her basement ceiling tiles. I confirmed the noise to be duct work expanding. The unit was a little overcharged. I removed half a pound of 410 and everything evened out. I couldn’t find any new wet spots on the ceiling during my visit. Told customer to call if they notice it again.
Ac clean and tune. Checked for leaks on indoor coil with refrigerant sniffer. Some indications of possible leak found. They were small indications. Cycled system. Checked compressor and fan motors with megometer. Both ohmed at 60 ohms. This is in the caution range. 5is indicates that the motors are starting to fail and will fail in the future. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and tested pressures and temps. Both were ok. System appears to currently have the correct charge at this time. Checked indoor split, normal split found. Average life of this unit is 14 years, this system is worn. Due to age, condition and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. Future failure is expected. Job complete.
Ac clean and tune. Checked and cleaned electrical compartment. Tested compressor and fan motor. Both tested low. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and tested pressures and temps. Found 0 subcooling and 3 superheat. Indoor coil temp was 32. System is low on charge. Tested temp split. Temp split is 13. System is worn and has issues that will lead to high utility bills and failure. Second opinion is recommended. System is cooling at this time. Cooling poorly. Job complete.
Troubleshot breaker tripping. Found there to be a groundfault in the wire between two receptacles in the office. Cut off compromises wire and pushed into the wall. Fished a new wire between the receptacles. Circuit is functioning normally now.
Performed AC safety check; sniffed the evaporator coil for possible leaks, inspected electrical compartment as well as tested both the capacitor and compressor both components did test weak, I then cycled the system on to verify operations. This system is currently operating but due to the age and condition as well as the condition of previous furnace i recommend a full clean and tune so we can hook up gauges to verify a proper charge. Office to follow up to schedule AC clean and tune. Job complete
