Arrived to customers home for water coming out of the emergency line outside. Customer showed me to the attic where the HVAC equipment resides and I found that the emergency drain pan is completely dry. I checked the primary drain line and there is currently no water in it. The customer brought me a pitcher of water to pour in to the drain line. After pouring the entire pitcher in, I checked the line and there is no standing water in the line at all. The primary drain line is clear. I then asked the customer to take me outside and show me to the condenser. All HVAC equipment is 17 years old and is using R22 refrigerant which is no longer being produced in the United States. I explained to the customer how the price of R22 is only going to continue to increase before the stockpile runs out.
