Extremely disappointed



The service person was truly only interested in selling me a new unit. I do not have 4000 to just put in a new system if my old one can be repaired. It was determined that I needed a new circuit board and that it would cost around $800 or more. The gentleman went out to his truck to bring in a used box that contained a board that was not the same as the one depicted on the box. Apparently, you guys take old boxes and place in new product...I don't get it. He stated that he would send us an invoice of the day's visit after explaining to my husband that we had not been quoted the correct price for the evaluation. Really, that was what the telephone person quoted therefore it is not my fault or issue...that should have never even been stated as that comes off offensively. It was also stated that we would receive a quote for the installation of the circuit board and that someone would call us to set up the next appointment since he did not have the right "box" of equipment for my system. No one ever called the next day, which happened to be Friday. When my husband had to be the one to call to follow up, he was told that no one could come out til Monday. Only after he complained did they try to figure out a way to fit us in. I ended up calling a service person - a small business owner who came out to fix my circuit board for a much lower price than we were quoted by Casteel and did not charge us a service fee. How is it a company with the Christian fish symbol can go around bullying customers into buying new units they really don't need and then treating them like we were treated is beyond me. How is it a small business owner can provide better service at a better price. I get one review doesn't mean so much to a company such as yours but rest assured this is one of several reviews I intend on putting out. You should not try to capitalize on the fact that we live in Atlanta and need cool air. Your service fees should go towards the repair if a repair is performed/scheduled. Again, I will not be doing business with you and will continue to do business with the small business owner. I would appreciate my $71 returned to me based on my experienced as it was a complete waste of time on my part and violation of my trust that with your Christian symbol you would be a company that stood for good customer service.
