Upon our arrival we removed all 3 heat transfer media coils and installed the new ones. The system about the bathroom presented complications of coming out so we spoke with the customer about cutting a 2x6 that was preventing us from removing the base to remove the coil. The customer was ok with this because the board was not going to be cut out completely just some of it removed to create room to remove the coil. It did not ruin the integrity of the structure. Installed surge protection on both systems outside at the disconnects. Pressure tested the system with nitrogen and found the system to be completely sealed. Evacuated the nitrogen and brought the system down to a proper vacuum . Recharged the system with 22 pounds of R410a and found that the system still had non-condensables in the system. Had to recover the contaminated refrigerant and pull a new vacuum on the system. Spoke with tech support to see if there was something we did wrong with the branch box on the first vacuum and
Upon my arrival found that system is low on refrigerant, customer agreed to adding die to the system, also added 6 pounds of refrigerant with the die, did let customer know we will have to return and look for leaks . please call and reschedule
Upon my arrival I replaced the comfort control system. Went through the manual and set it up properly. Tested the system and it would not come on. During the set up i mistakenly hooked the new comfort control to the wrong unit. I found this out while on the phone with tech support. While on the phone with tech support we found that the systems dip switches were set up to be a cool only system. Corrected the switches and the comfort control and everything is operating properly. I then had to reconnect the comfort control for the office and was having issues with the reconnect. Got it reconnected and tested the system and everything came back on and was operating properly.
Performed the heating evaluation on the master bed, guest bed and the office and everything is operating properly at this time. The pressures seemed to be a little off but it is hard to tell in the heating mode. Let the client know that if he experiences and issues with the systems to contact us and we may have to come out and conduct a UV dye leak search. Was not able to perform the heating evaluation on the living area due to the thermostat not allowing the system the option for heat. Spoke with the client about the different options to replace the thermostat and he would like the quotes emailed over so he can look them over and chose one. Will need to transfer over TNFRs and email quotes.
I found that the primary water removal system was clogged on the upstairs system. I spoke with the client about their different options and they chose the hf3a. I cleared the line and added pan treatment. I then made sure the system was cooling and the pressures looked good.
I found that the return air for the guest bedroom. I spoke with the client and he agreed to get the hole cut and sealed. After I cut in the return air the system ran for 45 min with no issues and the discharge air stayed about 56 degrees. The system is now cooling properly.
Upon my arrival in Rollingwood, Tx., I recovered 17pounds of r410a, pressure tested the ac system with 400psi nitrogen, calculated how much refrigerant the ac system needed needed per piping and capacity which came out to 24 lbs of r410a. I pulled a good vacuum and then recharged the ac system with the 24 pounds of r410a, set up the dip switches correctly, set up the thermostats properly per static pressure and set the blower up to stop when the ac system satisfies in cooling and heating to prevent the ac system for over humidifying the space. I also replaced the filters on all the ac systems. After all the repairs I tested the ac system and made sure it was cooling properly.
