The tech was knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. I recommend this company based on my experience with them today.
John was very personable and did a fantastic job
Upon arrival found system not heating. Found gas line off and 1st panel taken off. Turned system on and found that my pressure switch wasn’t closing. Checked pressure switch and it was good, checked port for pressure switch on the draft motor and found it clogged. Cleared hole and reconnected switch. Furnace is now operating properly. I did notice the blower starting up slow and checked capacitor, reading was 5.5 out of 7.5. Recommended replacing the capacitor, homeowner approved repair, replaced capacitor and checked amp draws on motor. 4.3 out of 8.2. System is now working properly at this time.
Checked amp draw‘s on indoor blower, checked Heat strip amp draws checked freon pressures on heat pump, checked condenser fan amp draws and compressor amp draw‘s, when out at the condenser and saw some possible oil line on the coils, everything is operating at this time
Checked amp draws on inducer fan motor and blower motor, cleaned flame sensor checked air filter, checked safety devices, checked heat exchanger it was good, check igniter. Customer mentioned secondary drain was dripping upon looking at main drain line found that main drain was clogged up and recommended blowing out, and recommended a float switch
Assisted hunter with maintenance, main drain line was clogged up, recommended blowing out drain line. Landlord approved blowing out drain line. Cut line and blew out line with nitrogen. Poured water down drain to ensure clog was cleared. System is now draining properly.
Found upstairs Tstat blank, checked inside unit and found power off to unit. Turned power backbb by on and tstat came on and system is operating properly at this time.
Performed a 5 system maintenance checking heating, changed all filters, checked electrical and mechanical components, checked heat exchangers, draft and blower amps, cleaned flame sensors, checked all safeties and pressure switches, all systems are heating properly at this time.
Performed a two system maintenance checking heating, checked electrical and mechanical components, heat exchangers, amp draws, capacitors, cleaned flame sensors, checked filters, checked 1st & 2nd stage heating. Both furnaces are operating properly at this time. Recommended adding surge protectors to indoor units.
Performed a one system maintenance checking heating, checked inside units electrical and mechanical components, cleaned flame sensor and took amp draws, checked filter, checked 1st and 2nd stage heating. System is heating properly at this time. Noticed that the main drain for a/c was stopped up and dumping into secondary pan. Also noticed a possible roof leak by the flue pipe. Recommended getting a roof to look at. Homeowner wanted to hold of on uv and clearing drain line.
Performed a one system maintenance checking heating. Checked all electrical and mechanical components, checked filter, blower and draft motor amps, heat exchanger, gas valve pressures, cleaned flame sensor, checked safety switches, ductwork, recommended adding an air scrubber uv light to help with indoor air quality, homeowner will think about it.
Performed a two system maintenance checking heating, checked inside electrical and mechanical components, checked gas pressures which upstairs was at 3.6wc adjusted valve to 3.5wc, downstairs was at 3.8wc adjusted to 3.5wc. Cleaned flame sensor, checked safeties, amp draws, filters need to be changed out. Homeowner said they would take care of it. Checked UV bulbs, ductwork connections. Both systems are heating properly at this time.
Performed a one system maintenance checking heating, checked inside units electrical and mechanical components. Checked air filter, outside air damper, heating sequence of operation, cleaned flame sensor, checked safety switches, blower and draft motor amp draws, capacitor, all checked out good. System is heating properly at this time. Recommended adding an air scrubber uv light to help with indoor air quality.
Upon arrival found out that another company came out and had put dye in the system. Checked inside unit and could hear Freon hissing from the coil and shined uv light at coil and could see dye in the water. System is 10 years old and coil is out of warranty. Gave estimates to replace coil or replace system.
Performed a two system maintenance checking cooling. Checked inside units electrical and mechanical components found that both blower capacitors were weak and needing replacement. Checked outdoor units pressures amp draws and capacitors. Found that the upstairs unit is about 2-5lbs low on R-22. Recommend replacement of system due to age and its type of refrigerant that it’s using is phased out. Sent estimates over to replace or repair.
Performed a two system maintenance checking heating. Checked inside units electrical and mechanical components, checked safety switches, draft motor and blower motor amps, checked gas valve, 1st & 2nd stage, checked filters. Homeowner mentioned sons room gets warm. Recommended installing mechanical dampers to balance out air flow, also recommended cleaning filters.
Inspected issue with tankless water heater. Heater is functioning properly, the issue is the travel distance from heater to kitchen sink. Causing warm water at first then water that has cooled from sitting in line, the faucet in kitchen takes a while to discharge enough water to warm up the heat exchanger causing a hot cold hot scenario. I replaced a frost proof hydrant as well.
