Checked amp draw‘s on electric heat strips on blower motor, check pressures on heat pump, checked amp draw‘s on condenser fan motor and compressor, checked filter
Upon arrival found system cooling. Checked inside unit and found that the blower speed wasn’t set up properly from install, adjusted blower speed. Checked safety float switch and it has a metal tip for a sensor that picks up water. Drain line was clear. Homeowner said husband cleared drain the other day. Which could of been the cause or water condensating onto sensor and would need to swap out for a different one. Checked Freon levels and found system slightly low. Added 1lb of 410-A. I did find that the speed tap for fan-on on the module for blower is bad motor can be warrantied out. Emailed quote
Completed one system fall matience on 2 year old heat pump/air handler. System was operating properly at this time. I checked blower amperages, checked operation of the heat strips. Cleanliness of the unit itself as well as the filter and ductwork. Heat pump capacitor 40/10 raited tested at 39.44/9.89, pressures were checked and passed. Attic needs more insulation currently has about 9 inches throughout recommend 14-16 inches of insulation for optimum energy efficiency. Pictures and estimate attached.
