Went over newly installed Goodman gas furnace (80%, 60K BTU, 3 ton drive). Lowered heating blower speed one tap to alleviate any excessive blower noise. Unit is installed properly and all components are secure including the blower motor and bracket that holds motor in place. Advised the homeowner to monitor the unit over the next week. The new piece of equipment will produce different noises than the older Rheem/Ruud heater that was removed. N/C, WARRANTY. (New install 11/21/22). Goodman M#GM9S800603AN, S#2203255360. 14x25x1 filter.

Did a maintenance when I guess furnace and the humidifier. During the maintenance I changed out to 16 x 25 x 1 filter. Clean the flame sensor, cleaned out the burner box and the blower motor housing. Also check the hot surface igniter. Did an amp check on the inducer motor and the blower motor which are both running with and the furnace specs. Also did a humidifier maintenance where I change the number 35 panel and I noticed the humidifier was not working and solenoid valve was not opening and looked very corroded and so did the saddle valve I would recommend replacing the humidifier it is old and not fixable. M#G60UH-36B-090-05 s#5904M10336 Customer does want to move forward with replacing the 600m bypass humidifier. Customer also has a room with no heat in it and would like someone to come out and give her a quote on running a vent or possibly installing some type of electric heater.

Came out today to perform humidifier service. Upon inspection I found that the 330 aprilaire humidifier takes a #30 water panel. Chud will have to order the water panel and make a return visit to perform the service. No charge for today since work cannot be performed. Also recommended replacing the vinyl tubing. See photos

Performed preventative maintenance on a Lennox furnace model #g60uh-48c-110-07, serial #5908a02004. Upon arrival the system was calling for heat so I took a combustion analysis test and received the following results, o2 is 13.7% and the co levels are 5ppm. The inducer motor and blower motor amp draws are within normal range. I powered the system down and removed the access panels. Removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor. Cleaned out the burners and burner box. Checked the pressure switch for clogs and tested the drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs in the system. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. Performed humidifier service for a healthy climate humidifier. Removed and replaced the old #35 water panel. Cleaned out the housing and drain. I powered the system back on and tested for proper operation. Both systems are operating properly at this time.

Customer called for water leaking from duct work. Seemed to stop after customer turned the system off from what the customer told me. Upon inspection I found the thermopanning damp. As I opened up the panning I found no sign of current water leak. Following the staining on the ceiling of the basement led me to below the refrigerator which seemed to be the culprit. The refrigerator has some type of drain pan that must have over flowed at some point. Customer would like small section of thermopanning replaced that was damaged by the water. See pics for visual. Approximately 18”W x4’ L and a smaller piece 18”x18”. This is a small repair. Found no issues with heater or that the heater caused this issue. System is working properly at this time. ***this customer has another account in our ST system. Please add this to that main account***

Return visit to access and diagnose issue with steam humidifier. Dispersion tube came loose from canister which potential was producing steam and allowing it to be dispersed in the basement and not the main house. Performed a full humidifier maintenance, including new canister, electrodes, and cleaning of all relevant screens. Aprilaire tech services went through settings and installation clearances to verify that the humidifier is installed correct. Cleaned spots of mildew that were accessible with a disinfectant solution that is made to remove and prevent further buildup. Verified that humidifier is operating properly and sealed up some minor duct leaks. Advised homeowner to let the device operate for several days before any noticeable changes in indoor humidity levels can be measured. Homeowner has humidity sensors placed throughout the home. Aprilaire 800 steam humidifier-model 80 canister must be changed annually. Electrodes are recommended every 3 years or if they are damaged.

To know he call. Service tech was out last week replaced Roll out limit and thought the cause of the issue was the chimney after we left the roll out popped. And she did not try to start the system until she got her chimney cleaned. Arriving to the job a push the rollout back in and system seem to start up with no problems. Supply temp is very hard and it’s coming back hot on the return. System is operating properly at this point s#361400689 Also bled out radiators to make sure it was not air bound.

Came out today for a no heat call. Upon inspection I found that the systems emergency switch at the top of the steps was turned off. I turned it back on and the system received the call for heat. I observed the system starting until it received an error code 15 for an open limit. I traced it back to the spill switch behind the system I reset the switch and the system tried to start but after 3 seconds it failed again. There was no time for the limit to be reached the limit reset button is faulty and will not reset. Installed a new limit switch and tested the system. I observed the system starting normally. I let the system run for about 20 minutes until it reached the temp limit. I took a combustion analysis test and received the following readings, o2 is at 8.9% and the co levels are 12ppm. The burners went out but the circulator pump continues to cycle until the water temperature goes down . The system is operating properly at this time. The systems model # is smeared. See photos.

Performed preventative maintenance for gas furnace. Inspected all the electrical components. Confirmed proper high and low voltages. Replaced the customer supplied air filter (16x25x1). Cleaned the burners, flame sensor and burner compartment. Tested the amp draw for the blower and inducer. Both are operating within the manufacturer specs. System had a temperature rise of 59°. Performed a combustion analysis on the system. System is operating at 84% efficiency with a CO level of 13ppm. Inducer port had dirt buildup inside it. This system was installed late 2019. It is a little abnormal to have this happen so soon on a newer system. As I inspected the flue piping I found oxidation buildup around the joints of the piping. Also noticed stains running down the wall where the connection to the chimney is made. This is usually signs of an issue with the chimney. This is possibly from before the chimney was repointed and a new cap installed but to be safe I do recommend having a chimney compa

Upon arrival I shut the gas and water off to the existing hot water heater. I drained the hot water heater and cut it out. Replaced the 50 gal tall hot water heater with a 40 gal short per homeowners request. Existing flue pipe was falling apart. Replaced the existing flue pipe with hard 3 inch pipe. Connected all copper piping using 3/4 pro press fittings. Tested the system for gas and water leaks. The system is operating properly at this time. Bradford white hot water heater model #Rg240s6n, serial #yk50376333.

Service call for Reznor air exchanger unit that serves dental lab. On arrival we reconfigured some setpoints on the control and were able to get the unit working and heating the space. The electric heat elements are only active when outdoor ambient temperatures are very low or if the unit is unable to maintain setpoint within a specific time frame. Reznor is going to send a PDF manual and I will follow up with Manor to advise if any other changes are needed. Chud will review original proposal to determine if this visit is chargeable.
