Customer called for air-conditioning system not keeping up with the set temperature on the thermostat. Upon inspection this home has to central air systems. One of the basement for the first floor and basement zone and the second system for the second floor. The main issue seems to be with the second floor system. I checked a quick temperature differential on the basement unit and it was operating at 19° differential which is plenty of cooling to maintain set temperature. The attic system was giving a 11° differential which will not cool the home especially with the high humidity days we have had lately. Went outside to check the condensers operation. System was operating at 70/385. This high head pressure is way passed the systems max design pressure of 300 pasig. These pressures indicate the system possibly has a restriction within the condenser, contaminated compressor valves, possible moisture contamination or a failing compressor all together.
