Performed preventative maintenance for a arcoaire heat pump. The evaporator coil’s are clean and in good condition. Tested the drain pan and drain line with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. The homeowner stated that he noticed some water leaking out of the bottom of the system. Upon inspection I found that the drain pan for the evaporator coil’s only goes around the edges of the coil and isn’t a full pan. I believe this is just a design flaw by the manufacturer. See photos for reference. Homeowner recently replaced the air filter size 20x20x4 Merv12. Checked all electrical components needed for air conditioning to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. The blower motor amp draw is 3.9. The temperature split is at a 19. The condenser coil’s are clean and in good condition. The condenser amp draws are .72 for the fan and 15.1 for the compressor. The refrigerant pressures are 126/285. These are normal
