Customer called due to air conditioner not operating after having a frozen coil yesterday and needed it to thaw. Being that the system is now fully filled out once I turned it on to get it going everything started up but the blower motor is making a high pitch noise. Upon inspection I found that the blower wheel was shredded into pieces due to age and lack of airflow. We will need to get a price on a new blower motor and wheel to fix this issue. Since the units older we would have to track down the blower wheel necessary for this brand of unit. Unfortunately system is not functional at this point until we get a hold of the parts. We will follow up on pricing for this repair once we track down the blower motor and wheel. After speaking with the customer she is concerned about having more major issues in the future if we were to repair it. She would like a quote to replace the system and decide from there. No charge for a visit today due to call back from yesterday 7–20–22.
