The GOOD: The technician was very professional and seemed to know what he was doing. He explained what needed to be fixed and told my husband a price. My husband agreed and the tech went to get a part and then came back when he said he would. THE NOT GOOD: I woke up in the middle of the night and realized we had no heat. I waited a few more hours and got up and investigated. I tried the thermostat. No furnace on. I then went downstairs and turned on basement fireplace (which had a switch replaced by the technician). While the fireplace turned on, it did not stay on. Tried it a few more times. Same result. I then went into furnace room and looked at the furnace. I read the instructions that had been left by a previous company for troubleshooting and found the off/on switch where the instructions said they were. Turned the switch and the furnace kicked on. Technician had not turned the furnace on before he left. So, nothing was left/completed the way it should have been. I will be calling to have you back out to fix the issue with the fireplace.

I attended deans chestermere home as he had a leak. I found that there was a leak just below the recirc pump off the hw tank. I gave dean a few options and he decided to have the pump replaced. I have shut off the water to the tank and drained the recirc line so it stops leaking. We will return. Monday to replace the pump.

Today I came to Carmen’s Chestermere home to perform a boiler service and tune up before winter. Boiler system inspection and tune up: Upon inspection and maintenance of the 12 year old system I tested and adjusted the boiler, heat exchanger, ignition and flame rectification systems, venting and gas lines. Checked all pumps and zone valves, piping and controls. Check air elimination devices and expansion system. Tested glycol levels, hydronic feeder, and general system operation. All zone valves and pumps are full operational. The theatre zone valve was disconnected at the thermostat. The system pump, fan coil pump, and domestic hot water pump are all over amperage indicating ware. The main circulation pump is wired to run 24/7 regardless of a call for heat. The exhaust manifold of the heat exchanger is leaking exhaust and condensate. This must be replaced. The boiler fan is very loud with bearing ware indicating impending failure in the future. I attended Tara’s chestermere home to perform a furnace plan service on her 1 yr old furnace. The furnace is running very well without any issues. However, she mentioned that her son does have asthma. I put together a few air quality options to help her son with his issues. Tara isn’t prepared to do anything right now but will let us know when things change.
Tech came out today to perform annual AC inspection. Tech tested torque booster limits, amperage on both compressor and out door fan motor, tested air flow and refrigerant levels. Inspected electrical components for corrosion. System working well Tech noticed the torque booster on the outdoor condenser is starting to get low. It’s currently just below the manufacturer limits. This can start to put more strain on the compressor and fan motor. Tech informed client. Client is happy with todays service.
I attended Jeremy’s home in chestermere as his ac was not working. I found that the capacitor on the herm side had failed. Replaced capacitor and checked operation. Charge is good and all working fine. Outside coil needs to be cleaned which he will do and ducts need cleaning. He has a guy here in town that will take care of that. He would also like to have his planservice reinstated. Happy with service.
I attended ranjohds home in chestermere as the ac was not working. I found the furnace did come on for a call for cool but the condensor was just humming and had heat radiating from inside the unit. Recommend diagnostic to determine the issue. Declined diagnostic.

Today I came to Lauren and Ryan’s Chestermere home to evaluate the aged hydronic heating that is in poor condition. Upon inspection of the 25 year old system I found the exhaust venting is rusted completely through. This is extremely dangerous and needs to be addressed immediately. The boiler itself has heat exchanger corrosion and needs to be cleaned. If a failure is found after cleaning, a new boiler will be required. The system services an indirect tank, 1 zone of basement under slab heating and 1 zone of main floor under floor heating which is never used. When the under slab loop comes on I can hear air in the system indicating the auto air vents are no longer functioning. The furnace is also 25 years old and there is a high likelihood there is a failure in the heat exchanger. It is my professional opinion that both systems should be replaced however with Lauren and Ryan having plans for a possible home move in the near future, I will also include repair options. Today I came to Emily’s home on Dawson way to perform the annual plumbing inspection. During the evaluation I noticed the Home is 2 years old and plumbing appears to be in great condition. Frost free hose Bibb is cracked and needs to be replaced. System is missing softener to prevent damage to fixtures from hard water. Water pressure is currently sitting at 60 psi. Recommended replacing hose Bibb and installing a softener. Client will think and get back to us about the hose Bibb. Water heater has been flushed as a courtesy service today. Clients are happy with the service provided and would be happy to leave myself with a 5 star google review.
