While the technician was nice, the end result was not

The GOOD: The technician was very professional and seemed to know what he was doing. He explained what needed to be fixed and told my husband a price. My husband agreed and the tech went to get a part and then came back when he said he would. THE NOT GOOD: I woke up in the middle of the night and realized we had no heat. I waited a few more hours and got up and investigated. I tried the thermostat. No furnace on. I then went downstairs and turned on basement fireplace (which had a switch replaced by the technician). While the fireplace turned on, it did not stay on. Tried it a few more times. Same result. I then went into furnace room and looked at the furnace. I read the instructions that had been left by a previous company for troubleshooting and found the off/on switch where the instructions said they were. Turned the switch and the furnace kicked on. Technician had not turned the furnace on before he left. So, nothing was left/completed the way it should have been. I will be calling to have you back out to fix the issue with the fireplace.

Today April 26 I came to Donna’s home in Chestermere to perform a plumbing plan service. The water pressure coming into the home is a perfect 60 psi. The hot water tanks are getting up in age (6years old) and starting to show signs of wear. The two tank system is very inefficient confirmed by Donna and her son as their utility bills are fairly high. The water softener is not working and needs replacing. The fixtures in the home are old but still function properly for now. Toilets will need to be replaced in the near future. Enclosed in the invoice is my 65 point plumbing inspection. Donna is very happy with the service I provided today.

Today April 26 I came to Bess’ home in Chestermere to perform a plumbing plan service. The water pressure coming to the home is a perfect 60 psi. The hot water tank is getting up in age and might be time to start think about replacement options. The two hose bins are working perfectly. The sprinkler system however is broken due to freezing. Bess’ son will call the irrigation company to come and fix it. All the fixtures in the home are functioning beautifully. The water softener we installed a couple years ago is protecting the system very well. I have left a quote for a new tank and tankless for Bess as she was interested. Enclosed in the email is a 65 point plumbing inspection as well. Bess and her son thanked me for my services today.

Today Kareem and Elden arrived at Emily's home for a duct cleaning. Upon arrival we confirmed the operation of the furnace in good working order and surveyed the design of the ductwork in the home. Upon confirming operation of the furnace the system was shutdown for the duration of the cleaning. Every vent was covered to insure vacuum suction and the hyper vac was then connected to the supply side. Every supply vent was thoroughly cleaned, cleared of all debris and sanitized as per clearview standard. The supply run was then air raked and cleared of all debris and dust. Then the hyper vac was connected to the return side and every return vent cleared of all dust and debris. Return side was also air raked and cleared of all dust and debris. The blower motor, furnace and return cabinet were all carefully cleared of all debris then wiped down with sanitizer. A wipe test was performed to clearview standard and the system was reassembled then confirmed to be in good working conditi

Today March 14 I came to Robert’s home in Chestermere to perform a boiler plan service. Right away Robert showed me a tiny leak on the unit. I located the source which was the mixing valve. I called navien tech support and they are shipping a new one out asap. We can expect it as early as Monday. I have notified the shop so when it arrives they will be ready to let the office know so we can come back and repair the unit. Robert thanked me for stopping by. Today March 18 I came to repair the combi boiler. The mixing valve for the domestic side is a very simple process to swap out. No need to drain the heating system. Once I swapped the part out I tested the system. The new part is leak free. As a precaution I told Robert to keep an eye out and come check it once a day to make sure everything is working as it should.

Today Jim was called out Tara’s Chestermere townhouse home to complete a yearly plumbing panned service. Within this service we here at Clearview perform a through plumbing inspection with the customer and perform general maintenance on the tank such as a tank flush. The house is 13 years old; new furnace and hot water tank were replaced in the past year. The plumbing inspection started upstairs and we worked our way downstairs checking all water shutoffs, piping and fixtures. Upstairs Tara told me that we replaced the shower cartridge in the last year and was working great. The only issue I truly thought was an issue was that there were no steel braided lines feeding the bathroom sink; more over my concern was that she has very cheap water connection that in my opinion are prone to bursting. Hence the burst proof steel lines should be installed on both the upstairs and main floor bathroom sinks. Drainage piping throughout the home looks great proper sizing and gives the home a perfec

Today Jim was called out toAnish’s home here in Chestermere too address the issue with water pouring on the floor. Initial tech checked any component that could cause this and found there to be an issue with the condensate lines running to the floor drain from the furnaces. New Pvc hard pipe was installed to address this issue. I also tighten all gear clamps within the furnace’s exhaust manifolds and checked the condensate pan. Everything is tight and sealed. Units have fired, new piping looks great. 10/10. Psi within the home is 60 psi and the warranty on the work is 30 days.

Today I was called to Donna’s home in Chestermere. Donna has called because she noticed water coming from her ceiling downstairs while running the kitchen sink. During the evaluation we have discovered a major restriction of grease in the drain line. The water is backing up through the garburator which is faulty and leaking from the top connection to the sink. Multiple seized shutoffs identified in the home as well as a leaking humidifier with a seized control. The water heaters are also 2018 and due for annual flush maintenance. Donna has decided to go ahead with the repipe of the kitchen drainage with a hydro jet flush. Today I have repiped and cabled the kitchen drainage. Everything is currently draining well with no leaks or issues present and this was demonstrated to the client. We will need to return to perform the hydro jet flush. Water pressure is currently sitting at 60 psi. Balance today has been paid in full. Donna is very happy with the service and would be even happier to

Today technician Shawn visited Tara Twan’s residence in Chestermere to do a duct clean. The hyper vac was connected to both the supply and return side of the system. High pressure air was used to throughly clean the supply and return sides of the furnace. Each supply was sanitized as well. The furnace cabinet and blower motor were wiped down with sanitizer as well. During the pack up phase of the call Tara brought to the attention of the technician that one of the top steps of the basement stairs was no longer secured. Pictures were taken and the office was notified. Proper paperwork was also filled out. Thank you for choosing Clearview services.

January 23, 2024 Drake Ahern & Adam Mersereau Today we arrived at Tara’s home in Chestermere to replace their furnace. We removed the old equipment, confirmed expectations with the customer and proceeded with the installation of the new furnace. We got the new furnace in place and attached the filter rack. We re-attached the gas line, high voltage, and low voltage. We ran a new drain line and picked up the humidifier. We sealed all plenum and filter rack connections with tape and/or silicone. We bubble tested the gas line for leaks. We tied the new furnace venting in with the previous 636 venting. All our venting and drain connections were appropriately glued and sloped. We checked with the homeowner to confirm where they would like their new COs installed, then installed them. We also installed a new Honeywell T4 thermostat. We did a thorough clean of the mechanical room and driveway. Finally we commissioned the furnace; set gas pressures(low=1.9, high=3.5), checked temperat
