The GOOD: The technician was very professional and seemed to know what he was doing. He explained what needed to be fixed and told my husband a price. My husband agreed and the tech went to get a part and then came back when he said he would. THE NOT GOOD: I woke up in the middle of the night and realized we had no heat. I waited a few more hours and got up and investigated. I tried the thermostat. No furnace on. I then went downstairs and turned on basement fireplace (which had a switch replaced by the technician). While the fireplace turned on, it did not stay on. Tried it a few more times. Same result. I then went into furnace room and looked at the furnace. I read the instructions that had been left by a previous company for troubleshooting and found the off/on switch where the instructions said they were. Turned the switch and the furnace kicked on. Technician had not turned the furnace on before he left. So, nothing was left/completed the way it should have been. I will be calling to have you back out to fix the issue with the fireplace.
The price was outrageous according to some of my tradesmen contacts.
Today I Spoke with Gurvir about his Chestermere heating system. The home is only 4-5 years old and has 2 furnaces. Gurvir would like quotes for furnace tune ups, water heater tune up, and full system duct cleaning. I have provided quotes for him to review.
Today I came to 111 Rainbow Falls Gate #66 to perform a furnace tune up and hot water tankless flush as part of the home sale. Furnace tune up: Upon tune up and inspection of the 9 year old system I tested and adjusted the gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, humidifier, static pressures, tested and tightened all electrical connections, all safety switches and control board. The furnace is in good condition. All components are working well within manufacturers specifications. The humidifier pad should be replaced before winter. Water heater flush and inspection: The electric water heater is also 9 year old. There was a lot of sediment in the tank and it was hard to get it flowing but I managed to remove most of the sediment. The average lifespan of an electric tank is 8-12. The tank is working well at this time.

Install 2 dielectric unions and a new tank isolation valve. Filled, purged and fired up new hot water tank. Fired up without issues. Today I visited Priya’s brand new home in Chestermere to evaluate the mechanical system for a possible central air conditioning system installation. Priya also has mentioned the basement is quite cool compared to the rest of the home. Upon inspection of the 1800 square foot home I found the new hvac system is set up with enough control wiring and electrical capacity to accommodate a new air conditioning system. After performing a cooling load calculation I have determined the home will require 3 tons of cooling to properly cool on the hottest days. I have submitted multiple options for a new ac system. Upon inspection of the developed basement I found the supply and return air vents are on the ceiling and there is only 1 return air vent in the basement. Ideally there should be a return air vent at the floor level in each bedroom and in the kitchen / living room area. Unfortunately to do that now would include removal of ceilings and walls. The best course of action at this time wou

I attended deans chestermere home as he had a leak. I found that there was a leak just below the recirc pump off the hw tank. I gave dean a few options and he decided to have the pump replaced. I have shut off the water to the tank and drained the recirc line so it stops leaking. We will return. Monday to replace the pump.
