Today I came to Rod’s Okotoks home to evaluate the sanitary sewer. 4 years ago Rod experienced a sewer back up. The line was cleared and a camera inspection was done. At the time a large pipe belly under the front attached garage and driveway was found and was quoted for replacement. Rod has noticed his driveway has sunk another 2-3 inches and believes now is the time to replace the pipe. Upon camera inspection today I found a large pipe belly extending from 27 feet under the garage to 47 feet under the driveway. Past this there is another 10 foot belly just in front of the manhole that is the city’s responsibility to replace. I have quoted Rod again to replace the damaged section of pipe on his property. Rod will review the options and let us know how to proceed. August 27, 2024: Crew arrived to begin demolitions of driveway and prepare for sewer excavation.
