Performed cooling maintenance on Amana package system. Checked that thermostat functions and replaced return filter. Verified proper voltage to unit and checked outdoor fan motor Amp draw, as well as compressor Amp draw. Made sure disconnect functioned and checked run capacitor is with in allowable limit. Verified condensate line is draining then checked temperature split. Washed condenser coil and cleaned exterior of unit. Unit is operational and cooling at this time.
Customer’s thermostat not operating, they installed ecobee t-stat and the ecobee power extender. After inspecting unit found that the thermostat was losing power/not having power when trying to run anything. Rewired the thermostat and fixed the ecobee wiring at the unit. Thermostat began powering on and heater would turn on when calling. Indoor fan motor wouldn’t turn on, after checking it out I found that it had a bad capacitor. After customer approval I replaced the capacitor as well and now system is fully heating and operational at this time. Serviced on Lindale Ave in Richvale, CA
