Installer left significant damage to basement floor and covered it up with a rug!

Leonard, the installer for our new water heater dropped the old water heater on our cement floor (I heard the crash but he didn't say there was an issue), leaving an approximately 8"x10" divot / smashed area in the floor. He didn't say a word to me about the floor and put the rug back over top so I wouldn't see it when I inspected if before he left. It was only discovered later in the day when walking across the floor and feeling the very definite hole under the rug.

We were so amazed and pleased that we could get help with our central air the same day we called. In this hot weather, we expected to have to wait.
