Installed APCO SI in supply plenum along with single UV to kill biological growth supply. Setup lead for CA to go out and give options for adding a system to the basement and replacing main system in house.
Completed heating maintenance. Replaced filter. Found supply section of the system full of biological growth. Recommend adding a air purifier to system to clean area and increase air quality in house. Schedule install for Tues 8-10. System should have a inline safety switch installed on drain in attic. System is heating good at this time and running at safe levels.
Complete 1 system a/c repair and preventative maintenance check. Systems very old and need to be replaced. No water safety on either system. Added 1lb r22 to downstairs system
Found system low on r410a and frozen up. De-iced System. Found leak at king valve. Adjusted valve and replaced cap. Recharged system. System is cooling at this time. Unit has an assured warranty, office needs to contact Goodman to collect payment.
Completed 3 system furnace repair and preventative maintenance check. Main level and basement systems. The main level system for the front of the building was found to have a blower motor which was making a whining noise. Also, the basement heat pump had a burnt and pitted contactor.
Furnace repair. Checked and failed due to cracked ignition and a bad flame sensor. Replaced both parts under extended warranty with labor but no parts. Here are the options to replace the Condenser and Coil. Good option is Standard change-out similar to what you have. Better option is a upgrade efficiency condenser. Going from a 14 seer to a 16 seer. Best option is the 2 stage condenser. Starts at 16 seer full capacity but will increase in efficiency when only in half capacity.
Found leak in the evaporator coil. Will call back tomorrow with options to repair and replace.
2 system a/c repair, preventative maintenance, and Comfort Club Membership renewal. Replaced filters, cleared drains and cleaned a/c coils. Found a rusty coil but did not detect a leak. Added 1 lb to the upstairs system and 7 lbs to the downstairs system with leak a seal. Both systems are charged with 10-degree subcooling per manufacture chart and cooling normally at this time
Found the system out of charge. Discovered a leak at the king valve for the suction line. Tightened valve. Believe this is from the cold weather freezing the gasket and thawing. No other leaks discovered. Checked evaporator coil and line set. Condenser holds 16.75 lbs of 410a. Quotesdd the customer for both the refridgerant as well as the trip and diagnostic charge. The customer wants to discuss reimbursement with warranty company before paying for refrigerant.
