Found lid on condenser missing most of its screws and side not on correctly. The compressor was unplugged. Found bad compressor. Customer needs a new system. Gave quote for a new system along with 2 new return plenums, a new 12" bypass damper, a new 12" return, and a new 8" supply. Since the system is a 4-ton system it would benefit from having two return plenums. Return air is undersized so adding a 12" return would correct that. Adding an 8" supply would correct undersized supply. The customer wants to think over options.
