Tech arrived at a service call. Upon inspection the main breaker was tripping. The compressor was disconnected and the fan ran. The compressor was tested and failed the Ohms test and resistance test. The capacitors were out of tolerance. The wire insulation was damaged on the fan motor and was touching bare metal. The contactor was scorched. The indoor system was not accessible today. The customer was informed of recommendations today. Due to age, condition, price of repairs and presence of R22; it is recommended that the customer speak with a Project Manager about upgrading to something more reliable with warranties behind it. The customer will speak with his wife and call in about financing options tomorrow. The tech will follow up at a later time of we haven't heard from them by then. Email is nmkane4676@gmail.com

STU complete and thorough evaluation. Indoor unit: Customer replaces 1inch filters every 3 months. 2012 4 ton HP r410a. Second stage electric heatstrips OHMs 2ithing tolerance. Electrical wiring tightned. Blower Motor inspected: no biological growth found inside cabin after last level 2 duct cleaning with Microbial spray. Blower wheel clean. Evaporator coil: clean, slight rust and questionable spots, due to age I performed a courtesy leak detection and found leaks. Drain line clear. DeltaT 11.8. Outdoor unit. Coils clean. 50/5 dual run capacitor within tolerance. Condenser fan motor sounds compromised (motor bearings). Harsh compressor sound on startup. Electrical connections tightned. Refrigerant: r410a - indoor has a fixed metering device meaning we consider Superheat. Per data tag on unit from manufacturer, my superheat is higher than specifications. Confirming leak detected in the evaporator coil. I expressed all of my findings to the customer. Customer explained that ab

Upon arrival for service system on and cooling poorly. Inspected system. Found refrigerant pressure within proper ranges but off. Cleaned outdoor unit. Refrigerant pressure improved. Found capacitor out of tolerance and causing reduced performance of motors. Replaced capacitor. Refrigerant pressures improved. Left system on and cooling.
