Rudd air handler installed in 2004 with Lennox heat pump installed in 2019. Customer says that he keeps the thermostat on 82 in the summer time and the system can maintain. Tech discovered that the unit had high superheat with sub cooling in normal range. Found that the polarity was switched on the condenser fan motor and it was going the wrong way. Switched the polarity to the correct way and the superheat went into the normal range. The system shuts down on high pressure in heat pump mode. Believe there to be a possible blockage causing high pressures. The evap coil is original r-22 coil with r-410 heat pump installed outside. Talked to customer about options. Customer refused repairs.

Upon arrival for tune up system on and cooling. Customer states system is leaking water. Drain line clogged. Cleared drain line. Blower and coil clean. Inspected outdoor unit. Capacitor out of tolerance. Replaced capacitor. Compressor and fan amp draw within unit specifications. Refrigerant pressure good. Cleaned unit. Left system on and cooling.

Rudd air handler installed in 2004 with Lennox heat pump installed in 2019. Customer complained of ac not coming on and heat only working on auxiliary heat. Tech discovered that the unit had high superheat with sub cooling in normal range. The evap coil is original r-22 coil with r-410 heat pump installed outside. Tech believes there to be a blockage in evap coil causing unusual superheat and subcooling numbers. Talked to customer about options. Customer refused repairs.
