Great service

Called because of a knocking sound when my furnace ran. Anthony recognized that it was a vibration and adjusted the furnace and fixed the knocking. Then he went beyond and tightened more panels inside and out of the furnace and secured some tubing that was also loose.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Found inducer motor pulling more power than manufacture label states. This is an early sign of failure, along with grind sound when motor starts. Do recommend furnace replacement over large repair as this. Blower wheel is dirty and should be pulled and cleaned if furnace isn’t replaced. Due to age and current condition, replacement is encouraged.

Installed a premium frost free faucet outside at the back of the house. Installed a new shut off inside that shut off the water to that faucet to winterize. To winterize the faucet first shut off the water in the basement. Second, open the faucet outside and remove the hose and any fittings. Last, open the bleeder cap on the inside shut off valve.

Return visit to replace the water flow sensor that was recommended by the manufacture. Upon completion I fired the boiler back up and found that the system still was not operating. I reached out to multiple representatives t the manufacture and every person I spoke to let me know that this boiler should be replaced due to age and lack of parts. After further diagnostics I did happen to find that the water pump seems to be struggling, in order to get the boiler up and operating again I believe we would need to start by replacing the water pump. Overall I highly recommend looking into having the whole system replaced due to cot of repairs needed and the fact that the manufacture does not make most parts for this boiler anymore.

Furnace was making a rattling noise upon arrival. After further assessment I found that there were a couple loose metal pieces on the duct work. I tightened these pieces down and then found that the condensate drain was loose and vibrating against the furnace, on top of that the control board metal panel was loose and vibrating as well. I tightened all of these pieces down and then found that the noises went away. I tested the furnace on low speed and high speed and did not notice this sound anymore.

Boiler was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics I found that the flow sensor has failed according to the manufacture. Part is 3-4 weeks out, customer would like to move forward with the repairs. I will have the office reach out and schedule a time we can return to make these repairs. As of now I am not sure that this is he only issue going on with the boiler, I would advise looking into replacing the system to avoid any further high costing or long waiting repairs.
